Angry rant about the DCEU in 3..2...1...

So, what the F%^& is going on here with the portrayals of these characters. Why is Batman, a known loner, assembling a team. Why does he "like to make friends" all of a sudden (from the mid-credits scene in SS) and why is he throwing aimless threats to Amanda Waller telling her to "shut it down, or my friends and I will do it for you"..

WHAT FRIENDS, YOU HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED THE JUSTICE LEAGUE. WHAT ARE YOU EVEN SAYING BRUCE WAYNE.

It's jus slapping in the face of the comic canon. The idea that Batman, even if he were retired, would be the LAST person to want to join any "team".

Someone explain this idiotic logic to me. Also, why is the Joker tat'd? WHY! How does adding "damaged" on his forehead further his personality or what have you as a character. How does that push him into the "badass" spectrum. It makes him look DUMB.

OK. End of rant.

Sorry.

Hope you enjoyed this.

Batman has more friends than any other superhero, by far. The amount of sidekicks and partners he has at any given time is greater than the Justice League's traditional size.
He has had a sidekick for 76 out of 77

He definitely does not work alone.

When he says friends he is probably referring to Nightwing, Batgirl, etc

SS cuts Characterization, story and setting right to the bone and just throws you into each scene which goes against conventional narrative structure and probably why so many critics hated the movie. It takes chances and if you're not in on the joke, you're going to hate it. An example of this is that some of the editing can seem quite abrasive or even sloppy like it's missing a shot or two...like a beat 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...the editing here is like 1, 4, 5 so it seems to have jumped a beat but once i got used to it, it worked for me.

I just appreciated something new and different...do all CBM's have to be clones of the Nolan Batman trilogy or Marvel's recent output? No, i wanted something new with SS and it delivered that to me.

SS is a better film then Antman (81% RT) AoU(75%) GotG(91%) Thor TDW (66%) IM3 (79%) CA TFA (80%) Thor (77%) IM2 (72%) The Incredible Hulk (67%) and IM (94%) All of these films were well made but also very bland and safe film making.

Yet SS has a current RT score of 31%...ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!

I just find MARVEL FILMS so BORING, Bland and Safe.

RDJ as IM has just been on auto pilot for about three films now, Chris Hemsworth as Thor has all the charm of a slug and Captain America is one of the dullest Super Heros ever put onto film. I hated Black Widow the moment i first saw her and Hawkeye is just about the worst Super Hero in CBM history.

As flawed and uneven as BvS was and as offbeat and different as SS are, give me those films over Marvel CBM's any day!

Here's a 5 STAR REVIEW that actually GETS IT.

http://www.torontosun.com/2016/08/02/suicide-squad-review-jared-leto-will-smith-and-margot-robbie-save-dcs-movie-universe

Suicide Squad kills it: David Ayer’s adrenalin-driven, sexually twisted and devilishly fun comic book movie is instantly the best so far in the DC Extended Universe.

So it was up to maverick filmmaker Ayer to revitalize, rejuvenate and otherwise re-up the DC franchise. He has done just that, with a singular vision, an unbridled passion and a creative vengeance that is so bold and so bad (in a colourfully good way) that it leaves viewers breathless. That has to be a step forward for DC and Warner Bros.
