New SUICIDE SQUAD Image Hints At A More Comic-Faithful Joker/Harley Quinn Dynamic
We did see a cropped version of this already, but a full image of The Joker and Harley suggests a far more sinister relationship than the one we witnessed in the theatrical cut of Suicide Squad.
Many fans took issue with the way Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and The Joker's (Jared Leto) relationship was depicted in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, as the pair were shown to be deeply in love as opposed to the one-sides, abusive dynamic they share in the comics/animated series.
Some early set videos of The Joker slapping Harley across the face seemed to hint that they did toy with idea of being more faithful in that regard, and the image below is further evidence of this. In the movie, after Mr. J rescues Harley they share a kiss before the latter falls/is pushed to safety - but this pic proves that there was originally some threats or coercion involved in their exchange.
