The new Suicide Squad trailer has landed! This time around we get a better look at the whole team which includes Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Slipknot, Katana, El Diablo, Enchantress, Killer Croc and a surprisingly entertaining Captain Boomerang.
It’s been confirmed that Jared Leto’s Joker is separate from the Suicide Squad meaning he may act as the groups antagonist unless you buy into the rumours of Enchantress being the main villain. This trailer also gives us a look at some potential Harley Quinn origins, appearances from Jonny Frost (and possibly Hugo Strange and Deathstroke) in addition to something we haven’t seen in any DC Cinematic Universe, magic. Actually I think Catwoman had magic in it, I dunno, I haven’t seen it.
There’s also hints at the occult, monsters we’ve never seen before and more insight into what kind of Joker is going to be showing up in August. We also see Katana’s soul stealing sword in action and possibly a hint at which Suicide Squad member is going to bite it first. It’s Slipknot by the way. I mean come on, he may as well be called Red Shirt Mc Cannon Fodder.
