It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself? Directed by David Ayer, starring Will Smith (Deadshot), Jared Leto (the Joker), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), with   Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adam Beach (Slipknot) and Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Suicide Squad is set to open on August 5, 2016!

I like Joel Kinnamen (however you spell it) fine but I just can't stop thinking about how Tom Hardy could have been playing that role. Excited to see this though. I have a feeling this film will be the most critically-positive movie in the DCEU, though I don't know if it'll make the most money.

@Earthbound - Same....Kinnaman is a great actor (he was great in this season of House of Cards) but he just looks a bit....weaselly for a military type.

@MattBellissimo - Yeah, he just doesn't look intimidating. I mean at least Tom Hardy had a shot at standing out among all the colorful villains, but I just don't think Joel was right for this role.

I'm stoked though, it looks like it'll be a lot of fun.

@Earthbound - nah, this is a good thing. Now DC can save Tom Hardy for a better character -- besides between Will & Leto + fan favorite character Harley Quinn - I doubt the role is all that meaty

@shamo - All good points. Tom Hardy really talked this script up which makes me excited. He knows how to pick a good movie it seems.

For me the hype for this movie is dead with the release of BvS, i'll still go see it of course, but no matter how good it can be, knowing it's set in the Snyderverse... I miss march 20 so much ;(

Anyone else been talking about how the mystery subway villain might be a possessed Joker? Facial resemblance is pretty uncanny to me.

"What the hell's wrong with you people?"

"We're criminals, Rick. We've always been criminals. Nothing has changed."
