@CaptShipwreck this iteration it sounds like she is just somee adventurous gal who stumbles onto an ancient magic evil and is possessed by that evil, thus becoming the enchantress.

my only complaint is crocs size. I had hoped he would be "The Mountain" size. In fact I would have loved for that actor to be playing him but as it is...it is what it is. Hes a pretty damn big actor in his own right and I'm sure they will increase his size via camera tricks. Or if not I can dig it.

@hellboy6666

But Croc looks almost EXACTLY like his original comic book version... size is not needed.

its only the later adaptations that focused more on his being a 12ft crocodile, but he's actual origins is just a skin condition that gives him scaly skin and strength (i.e. like a crocodile).
He is NOT a genetic splice between man and croc, so theres no need for a TASM type Lizard creature...

i love croc in this so far, i think its perfect, and a great "hat tip" to the original version.
To be honest its probably the MOST comic book accurate character of the whole set in this movie.

I'd have prefered they traded Croc's human nose for a more reptilian one, but the makeup/prosthetic work is on point. Very high quality. This not your sy-fy monster of the day here. And Harley Quinn is just perfect.

But...its only Suicide Squad! It can't possibly be a success with no one knowing what it is! Guaranteed flop, that way if it is a success that makes $500 million we can be like marvel fanboys and say "can you believe that a concept that is somewhat original made money!"

I'm looking forward to this, as I do all CBM's, but my optimism is tempered with awareness. DC fanboys (who make fun of Marvel fanboys for being fanboys) are using this movie and BvS as examples of DCEU domination/MCU demise, and I'm not seeing it.

At best, the DCEU can become comparative, but it's a narrow line to walk. They have to be different enough from the Marvel formulae to differentiate themselves, but close to Marvel's formulae, because, like it or not, it's proven extremely successful. One point of them following Marvels footsteps is how comic book accurate (or comic book-y, if you're so inclined) the characters in SS and BvS look.

These two movies, with Justice League, will fully determine DCEU's fate. BvS more than anything. There's a lot of pressure on Snyder's shoulder's, but honestly, with Goyer gone, I think they have a good shot. If BvS is another MoS, where most people seem to love it at first, then more and more people start pulling it apart over time, the DC movie slate will be wiped clean.

Visually, the movie looks stunning. I'm just concerned about how much story there is to tell. This, above all the DC films in development, has the highest potential for cluster[frick]ery. We have Deadshot's origin and the daughter subplot, we have Harley's origin and the introduction of the Joker, as well as his getting sent to Arkham by Batman, we have Enchantress' origin, we have the introduction of the entire Squad, we have this mission that we currently have no details on, and then Waller's 11th hour revelation as the arch villain?

It all sounds cool, but cool stuff isn't enough - there has to be some kind of overarching narrative, or it's just dull.
