After shrugging off negative reviews and pulling in
$133 million domestically and
$267 million worldwide this weekend,
Suicide Squad continued its box office takeover on Monday, earning another
$13.1 million while sailing past previous record holder,
Guardians of the Galaxy ($11.7 million), according to Box Office Mojo. The film also beat out
Captain America: Civil War, Age Of Ultron, and Batman v Superman on Tuesday, earning
$14.2 million.
While things have been going very well for
Suicide Squad so far (Warner Bros.
recently expressed their happiness for the film's success), estimates for the coming weekend predict the film will take in approximately
$51-54 million domestically. If those estimates hold up, it would mean a 61% drop from the movie's opening weekend. While not as bad as
Batman v Superman's 71% decline, this still doesn't bode well for
Squad's financial longevity in theatres.

Suicide Squad again? Sound off below!
It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?
