SUICIDE SQUAD 2 Unlikely To Start Shooting Until Fall 2018 - Here's Why
Despite reports that Suicide Squad 2 is currently being fast-tracked by Warner Bros., it appears as if we can forget about seeing the sequel reach the big screen until well into 2019. Read on for details!
When we first heard about that planned movie featuring Harley Quinn and The Joker, it was mentioned that both characters would appear in Suicide Squad 2, a sequel being fast-tracked by Warner Bros. That led many to wonder if it might be with us by late 2018 or early 2019 but things have clearly changed.
As you can see in the Tweet below, Variety's Justin Kroll has revealed that the movie is unlikely to go into production until Fall 2018 at the soonest. That's all because Will Smith has a busy 2018 which will see him shooting Disney and Guy Ritchie's Aladdin reboot and the upcoming sci-fi movie Gemini Man.
This does make sense, especially when you take into account the fact that the rumoured timeline for Suicide Squad 2 popped up before Smith was announced before both of those movies and Jaume Collet-Serra decided to pass on directing it for Warner Bros. Now, it's currently without a director.
Are you guys excited for the Suicide Squad sequel? As always, let us know your thoughts down below.
