Yesterday, Warner Bros. revealed its plans for the newly christened DC Universe streaming service which will feature a number of shows, including live-action efforts starring the Teen Titans and Swamp-Thing. However, a new report reveals that Warner Bros. is slowing down production on Metropolis and putting it into redevelopment. That likely means the network is now starting totally from scratch.

Originally, the show was described as focusing on Lois Lane and Lex Luthor as they investigate "fringe science," and expose the city’s dark secrets. Produced by Gotham's John Stephens and Danny Camon, the series was supposed to start production this summer in New York City. Fans didn't respond to the idea particularly positively when it was initially announced and that creative team really isn't the best.

Warner Bros. previously went back to the drawing board with Powerless but that didn't pan out particularly well as NBC quickly cancelled it after negative reviews and poor ratings. What sort of changes do you think could be made to Metropolis? As always, be sure to share your thoughts below.
