Story Idea: So the story starts with Superman and he is flying really high in the sky and then suddenly he is shot down my a rocket that was targeted to him. The rocket has known other than the Wayne Enterprises Logo on it and it contains Krptonite. Superman falls out of the sky and lands in Gotham City where he meets Lex Luther who has traveled all the way their to team up with the Joker because he wants to take down Superman too and another certain hero. So Superman is now weak and powerless because of the Kryptonite and he is tied in a chair and locked in Arkham Asylum as the super villains have taken over there. So it's Batman's job to save Superman from the villains in Arkham Asylum.
So the story is moved away from Metropolis and it's all set in Gotham City. Batman is the main hero having to save a powered down Superman from Arkham Asylum.

Main Hero: For “Man of Steel 2 Superman Rising” Batman will be the main hero of the film not Superman, Superman only shows up ten minutes in the beginning and 10 minutes in the end of the movie. The movie is very Batman orientated. The Arkham scenes take a lot of influence from the Batman Arkham Asylum games. Superman does not fight at all in this movie, it is a very interesting approach to take for a film defined as a Man of Steel sequel. I think it would work fine with the audiences. Batman gets to fight Lex Luther before Superman. It would make it fair because they are both human and Superman is an alien.

Character Portrayal For Batman/His Past: This version of Batman is a teenager, his father Thomas Wayne is still alive. He became Batman after reading a lot of comics and he believes he can be superhero doing good in this world. The portrayal of Batman is similar to Peter Parker in contrast. He is a young genius but he is still learning and managing school including his friends. He also is kind of mental, his mind is not well and he often has crazy hallucinations and thoughts from something very dark that happened a long time ago relating to Thomas Wayne, but he forgives him for his terrible dark past. Martha Wayne does not exist in this new Batman universe. Bruce Wayne's mother is unknown to him and is also unknown to Thomas Wayne since he constantly suffers from short term memory throughout the whole film. Thomas Wayne also has animal abuse charges to him from Commissioner Gordon which is also a plot point but he doesn't remember anything relating to the past.

Character Portrayal For Superman: Superman only has a minor role in my story idea, he does not have any fight scenes and no dialogue at all. He is still sort of the same character. His character is not important this time in the sequel since it is technically Batman's movie.

Character Portrayal For Lex Luther: Lex Luther wants to destroy Superman because he thinks he is better than him and he is a big bully who also wants to take over the world. He is your standard type generic super villain in the movie. Can be compared to the version from Superman Returns.

Character Portrayal For The Joker: He is lunatic and a crazy psychopath.

Supporting Characters: Joseph Gordon-Levitt returns as John Blake in the movie. Harvey Dent, Gordon, and Thomas Wayne are major characters too. With Thomas being alive in this version of Batman he serves as a much more major influence to the character himself.

Movie Villains: Lex Luther and The Joker are the main villains. Bane also shows up in the Arkham Asylum sequence. Alfred also turns into the villain at the end of the film when he is consumed with a darkness formula from The Joker and becomes Evil Alfred. Christian Bale also shows up reprising his movie role as Patrick Bateman in the Akrham Aslyum sequence and is one of the villains Batman fights in the movie for a brief moment. He shows up running down a hallway naked with a chainsaw running after Batman, it's a small humorous reference scene.

Locations: Gotham City is the major central location in the movie and Arkham Asylum will be the second major location seeing it is the ending final battle location in the movie. Metropolis is not in the sequel at all.

Idea: We have seen a heavy Superman focus in the first movie so why not move that focus to another well known character. Such as Batman. This is still technically Superman's film since it is a sequel.
