The Wolverine is the second best movie I have seen this year, second only to The Place Beyond the Pines. Better than Iron Man 3 and leagues better than Man of Steel.

MoS for me personally was THE MOST disappointing movie of the year. For me, 7.5/10 on the disappointment scale.

Star Trek Into Darkness was my favorite movie of the summer. Haters gone Hate but it was an entertaining new version that I was a big fan of because I didn't like the original Star Treks anyway and this made me like it a little bit

While I still liked the film, Man of Steel was the biggest disappointment to me as well. The dialogue was atrocious and I hated the climatic battle between Zod and Supes. That being said, the final scene was perfection.

I can see why people hated IM3 but I personally loved it. The Mandarin twist could have been handled better if Aldrich has been played differently. If it was more like the Ras Al Ghul reveal in Batman Begins, I think less people would have hated on it.

The Wolverine was such a surprise. I loved how small scale and personal it was. Pity about the ending. It didn't ruin the movie but prevented me from absolutely loving it.

Pacific Rim was just retarded but probably the most fun I've had at the movies this year.

Biggest Surprise: The Wolverine (When the last was so bad it makes this one look better than it actually is.)

Biggest Disappointment: Iron Man 3 (Wasted villain, stupid decisions, missed opportunities for Phase 2.)

Met Expectations: Man of Steel (From what I have read, the disappointment comes from people wanting the corny, underwear over-the-pants wearing Superman they grew up with.)

Amazing how some people won't give up. They should be cleaning floors, WHICH MEANS A LOT OF DIRTY FLOORS. Iron man 3 ruined a potential great story AFTER 20 MINUTES with the same nonsense. None of the 3 movies were really that good. Star Trek was the biggest disappointing for the reasons mentioned. As soon as Weller showed up in the ship it was over. Waited all that time for this. The rest of the films were pretty much rated correctly except one. Man of Steel was without a doubt a great movie and with the Batman's makes marvel look like a kid show ( which is what most of their fans are ). Superman is fighting more than 1 super person and it wasn't a joke like the first time. Tell you what people, my boss won't like it, but it will lead into why Batman looks into Superman, and why a Justice league will be formed. Remember that. And go back and watch Avengers and see what a silly thing it really was.

People don't yet seem to grasp the fact that it was the first 24 hours of him being Superman...
TheWolverine08
TheWolverine08 - 9/2/2013, 6:47 PM
The Wolverine: 8.5

Man of Steel: 8.0

Iron Man 3: 7.0

I'm predicting a 9.0-9.5 five for Thor: The Dark World if everything pans out.

IM3 Hands down the smelliest turd to be crapped out this summer.

Iron Man 3 was the most disappointing to me. MoS was great, but it had it's flaws very obviously clear. The Wolverine and Into Darkness seemed the most structured and delivered the level intended.

If Zack Snyder and David Goyer are such hacks to some of you guys, how is MOS most disappointing? Thats what I thought, bias little fanboys. IM3 is by far most disappointing. The movie we got was nothing like what most of us were expecting with or without the Mandarin twist. That was just the icing on the [frick]ing shitty cake that is IM3. IM is still the best Marvel film though. Hands down. Which only adds to the disappointment of IM3.

I think MOS kind of set up to be disappointing when over zealous fans declared it the greatest CBM of all time from trailers.

id give mos a 2 on ... that machine, i enjoyed but just wish it had a lil more
my fav scene was when pops kent was lookin at young clark and he puts his fists on his hips with the red cape on

i had this idea... that clark should've added the cape to the costume ... since the movie pretty much made the cape appear out of no where

agree?
