Uhm...Nick Fury from The Avengers was based of the Ultimate Fury...which was originally based on Sam Jackson...so that's a perfect cast...I don't give a [frick] if a character like Perry White is black or white( a black White...teehee) now...it'd be a whole different story if they made Superman black or Asian or whatever... I loved Michael Clarke Duncan as the Kingpin and Idris Elba as Heimdall as long as they are done well.

MoS will not fail at B.O I'm certain. They hype all these movies up & they end up being shitty & those films get the green light 4 sequels b4 they even hit the theater or around that time.Yet they have this movie (MoS) which will b a box office hit n they're worried bout the outcome? -__- I'm sure they're working on the sequel outline as we speak....err type. XD

Looking forward to seeing Lawrence Fishburn as Perry White. He was awesome as Jimmy Jump in King of New York too. Amazed he hasn't won more awards for his fine acting skills.

It's hard for me to believe that you're black. As a black american myself I can tell you that each and every time they cast a superhero movie black geeks debate the fact that black hero's never seem to make the cut. And we also realize that 99.9% of all comic-book hero's are white. Which is understandable because most of these characters were created before or soon after segregation, so society wasn't as inclusive as it is today as for as diversity.

Due to that fact, most black geeks I know understand that if the studio's want to diversify their cast then they'll have to recast the race of one or 2 characters. We understand I can't be a a-list character because most audiences wouldn't accept the race to be changed of an a-list hero, however a b-list or c-list hero is subject to be changed to diversify the cast. So like I said, it's hard for me to believe you're black if you don't recognize this fact about comic-book movie rosters being almost exclusively white, and the need to update a few of the characters races to depict the fact that we live in a modern multi-cultural society.

Good for the actors. Now if MoS makes super bank, the actor will take WB to the bank to reprise roles. Marvel went old school signing all of their artist to long term deals. Actors hate that kind of stuff, see Natalie Portman. Hope it doesn't show up in the finished product.

Here's the problem with that statement. Most of the hero's we hold near and dear to our heart were created before, during, or soon after segregation (The golden age of comics)No movie studio is going to give a director 200 million dollars to make a movie about a black hero no one has ever heard of.

This is why I know you're white (I'm sorry but I'm going there). You're basically promoting separate but equal when it comes to comic book universes. You want a White comic book Universe, and a Black comicbook universe. And sadly, you're missing the entire point about what comic book hero's actually stand for. They stand for ideals and principles that transcend race. That's why most black geeks I know (never met one like you) understand that you need to diversify comic book characters to reflect modern times, since the characters were based on principled idea's instead of ethnic heritage.

Showing that different races not just whites, stand and fight for morally centered ideals in contemporary comic-books isn't asking for a handout. I'll let this be my final word. I challenge you to go to any black blog (since you want us to have our own stuff) and post what you posted here. And see don't you get roasted to oblivion. I would recommend going to the GRIO, or Democratic Underground, and make a post against Marvel & DC diversifying their comic-book rosters, and you'll see you're one of a kind. Brotha.
