The anticipation for Superman's next big screen outing is at an all time high. Fans are axiously awaiting to see what Zack Snyder has cooked up for Superman's triumphant return. While it still seems like the movie is still a while away, some news just hit that makes it feel like it's right around the corner. The people over at HenryCavill.Org are reporting that Man Of Steel star Henry Cavill will be embarking on a three month tour to promote Man Of Steel. The tour will kick off in Japan starting on the dates of March 27th and 28th.

While it's not a shock that they are doing a promotional tour, a three month long tour seems a little lengthy. There are no other dates for the tour as of right now but you can like HenryCavill.Org on Facebook HERE, and they will keep you up to date. cavill is gonna decimate and be 2nd to ledger

In my opinion, Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Spider-Man is 2nd only to Ledger's Joker. I have great hopes for Man of Steel as well, if Cavill is able to BECOME Superman, just like Downey Jr's Iron Man and Garfield's Spidey, it's already a great job. His great shadow, just like Garfield before him, it's Christopher Reeve's portrayal of the character though. Hopefully Snyder will be able to deliver, I actually have enjoyed all of his live action movies so far.

I concur with @AmericanPsycho. Garfield isn't in the same podium of Ledger and Reeves and RDJ, at all. iJack is blinded by his passion! LOL
Besides, that TASM hipster Ultimate version of Peter Parker is weak IMO.

Ledger performance is the best performance in comic book movie of all time. The way the character was written (Noland compared it too shark from Jaws, pure evil) + the amount of work Ledger did put in Joker's role - this kind of combination is rarely seen.

His performance took Nolan movie to the whole new level.

Next one (for me) is Bale as Wayne in TDKR ( but not as Batman)
Third place goes to Jackman in X1 ( no X2, X3, Origins)
Then Garfield.

Others major top critics compared Andrew's and Heath's performances. The acting performance of Andrew is something not even the critics of the movie doesn't praise. I'd say that Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man, Heath's Joker and RDJ's Iron Man level of performance is what Cavill should be aiming for. If he's able to surpass that it'd be great, but again, I fear he'll face the same kind of criticism that Garfield went through, even if he delivers an outstanding performance, just because Reeve's Superman imagery is still so strong among a lot of people.

Josh Wilding on Garfield's portrayal of Peter Parker and Spider-Man:

Andrew Garfield embodies Peter Parker and Spider-Man perfectly. The British actor comes close to doing for this character what Heath Ledger did for The Joker, and he brings a level of likeability to the character, delivering a wide range of emotions.

Bale as Batman and Ledger as Joker will always be best casting choices in history of CBM, in my opinion!

I find Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and also Patrick Stewart as Xavier fantastic choices. Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth embody Cap and Thor much more strongly than RDJ does Iron Man, imo.

[frick] RDJ as Iron Man.

Garfield and Tobey both missed the mark as Spider-Man imo. Maybe it was the writing for TASM in the case of Garfield, but stuttering every 10 seconds doesn't make you a nerdy outcast who can't talk.

I also appreciate Ian Mckellan as Magneto more than others do here, but find Fassbender brilliant in the role. Mcavoy too owns Xavier.

With some exceptions here and there, nothing else is really too special.

@jerryblake

In my opinion, the top 5 performances are:

1. Heath Ledger's Joker in The Dark Knight
2. Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man / Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man
3. Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man / Tony Stark in the MCU

I love Bale's performance as BRUCE WAYNE through ALL TDK's trilogy, but I can't stand his howls as Batman. I understand WHY they are done, but it just doesn't work for me. It's almost as much of a comedy relief as 60's Batman for me lately, thanks to Toronto Batman, which is awesome BTW.

If you can't bring yourself to like Bales voice, thats fine, however the voice is described that way in the comics.

I find people can't appreciate it because they grew up so used to Conroys TAS voice.

I watched BB in 2007, THEN marathoned all of TAS (as I didnt grow up watching it), and found I appreciate Bales voice much more than Conroys.
