Henry Cavill Makes SUPERMAN Return Official With New Look At His Man Of Steel: "A Taste Of What's To Come"

It's no secret that Henry Cavill reprised the role of Superman for Black Adam, but the actor has now made his return official with a new look at his take on the Man of Steel, and promise of more to come.

Amid conflicting reports and rumors relating to his potential return to the role, we recently got confirmation that Henry Cavill had suited-up as the Man of Steel again for a mid-credits appearance in Black Adam.

Now, Cavill has made it official - and yes, he will be sticking around!

The actor shared the following Instagram post, thanking fans for their continued support while promising that his Black Adam cameo was just a "very small taste of what's to come." He also provided a new look at his take on the iconic DC Comics hero in full costume.

Despite Cavill's brief Black Adam appearance, we had been led to believe that his continued tenure in the cape was far from set in stone, so fans will be delighted to hear that a deal has evidently been struck.

Right now, we have no idea when we'll see his Superman again, but we do know that at least one solo movie is in development (Man of Steel 2, essentially), and there are clearly tentative plans in place to have the Big Blue Boy-scout square off with Dwayne Johnson's Man in Black at some point.

How do you guys feel about Cavill returning as Superman? What did you make of his Black Adam cameo? Be sure to drop us a comment down below.

the curly hair and the brighter costume gives me hope his version won't suck ass this time, but I've been hurt before, I will not forgive WB if they bait me again.

@Spidey91 - He can look the role but he has as much charisma as damp cardboard. Maybe with the right director. Ugh. It’s tough to hope.

@MutantEquality - he was good in M:I and Man from U.N.C.L.E., so I'm sure it's just the material he had to work with in the SnyderVerse.

I’ve always said that Cavill would make a great Superman under the right direction. Up until this point, he really hasn’t had that direction.

I’m hopeful a project with him does get off the ground, but I’m feeling that may be very dependent on Black Adam’s performance.

@SethRollins - there was no need for that dude, geez. I think anyone would take Cavill as Superman rather than CB any day, as long as he has the right characterization.

@SethRollins - it's WB. I wouldn't get my hopes up. Given their track record they'll announce MoS2 for release in 2032 and never do anything with it

@SethRollins - And yet they did. His contract had one cameo left. That's why it was allowed. WBD were contractually obliged.

Now kinda wished his first movie was bright and hope leading into Zod but they would have said following the same tracks as the originals.
