New MAN OF STEEL Promo Image Released

While looking very familiar, a new-ish promo image for Zack Snyder's anticipated Superman reboot (which is for next week's Licensing Expo) is now online, featuring a slightly different look at the film's logo. Check it out after the jump.

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world's beacon of hope - Superman.

Man Of Steel (which also stars Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Laurence Fishburne and Russell Crowe) is set to hit theaters June 14th, 2013.

Theres no point in providing any real advertising this early as the film IS STILL A YEAR AWAY.

Sad we didn't get a new image of Superman. Oh well. The logo was cool when I first saw it. Just as cool now. Can't wait to get some more pictures!

Well, here's to hoping that this movie will be the 'Superman' movies out of all Superman films. I don't mean any disrespects whatsoever, but I still think that no one can match Christopher Reeves' Superman film(s). A one-of-a-kind actor to play a really cool character. Let's hope this film does justice for Superman, 'cause he certainly deserves more good movies. :)

Stay EPIC, my friends!

@Just1Superguy - Some have said that the Christopher Reeves Superman films were "dark and gritty"? Huh, can't see how that's true. It was pretty cool to me. :)

They really have to decide on a color scheme instead of experimenting with different looks. The S is too bright for the background and the background too dark for the S.
