"It took only a single viewing for ALL-STAR SUPERMAN to become one of my all-time favourite superhero movies. The adaptation by Bruce, Dwayne and the team is quirky, epic and heartbreaking and I don't think I've seen anything else quite like it. A triumph, as they say!"

Below is an exclusive still courtesy of Warner Brothers Home Video (via DC's "The Source")

All-Star Superman is based on the Eisner Award-winning and New York Times bestseller of DC's comic series/graphic novel of the same name by Grant Morrison with illustration by Frank Quitely. It is executive produced by Bruce Timm and directed by Sam Liu (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) from a script by acclaimed comics writer Dwayne McDuffie (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths).

It stars the voice talents of James Denton (Superman), Christina Hendricks (Lois Lane), Anthony LaPaglia (Lex Luthor) and Ed Asner (Perry White). The film is slated for a February 22 release in both DVD and Blu-Ray format.

BREAKING NEWS! This just in: Grant Morrison in love with his own writing. "This direct adaptation of my work is a triumph!" So modest.

Morrison is the shit. I'm looking forward to this movie. Now if only they could get those Superman live action movies right.

Leee and Otherside: Thanks, and this movie looks like the bomb!

ClarkFarley2012: Amen to that.

Anyone else notice the irony of James Denton voicing Superman? In Desparate Housewives he plays Terri Hatcher's husband and Hatcher has played Lois Lane.

Earzmundo@ And Martian Manhunter. Well, IMO, I think a Martian Manhunter feature would be cool.

I just finished watching the entire box set of Justicle League and Justice League Unlimited and I have an idea.

Make the next animated feature be Final Crisis- in the Timmverse continuity.

Anyone else think it would work? Timm and friends did an extremely good job of writing that show and it introduced 99% of the required elements for a Final Crisis adaptation.

Looks good, so far, DC does it again, but it's a double-edged sword, their animated movies are almost always well done, but 90% of them are of superman, batman, or the two of them together. They really need to give a different JL member a movie. Granted, they did justice for wonder woman, captain marvel, and green lantern, but what about flash, martian manhunter, green arrow? Even somebody like Lobo could have a cool movie, or make a teen titans movie with nightwing being in charge.

Identity Crisis (JLA)
Rock of Ages (JLA)
Emerald Dawn followed by Sinestro Corp
Kingdom Come

I was very disappointed that we didnt get the Teen Titan: Judas Contract movie, I really wanted to see a serious Titan movie, with Deathstroke in it. I know many of the above posters have mentioned that they wanted to see other heroes grace the animated movie scene and I agree, but i also really enjoy seeing the dc shorts that have been on most of the recently released dvds. I think this is a great way to get other lesser known heroes screen time with out risking not having a selling title.

I'm starting to like the animated movies better than live action. Lets hope we get. Superman Red Son, or BatmanNo Mans Land in the Future.
