TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES Reboot In The Works At Paramount From BAD WORDS Scribe

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Paramount Pictures is in the very early stages of developing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, having recently tapped Andrew Dodge (Bad Words) to pen the script.

Variety has separately confirmed that the "third" Ninja Turtles movie will essentially serve as a reboot for the franchise and will presumably not be a follow-up to 2014's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which grossed $493 million worldwide, and its 2016 sequel, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which grossed $245 million worldwide.

While Michael Bay, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller will return to produce under their Platinum Dunes banner, it seems unlikely at this moment that stars Alan Ritchson, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, and Jeremy Howard will reprise their roles as the Heroes in a Half-Shell.

So, what do you guys think? Sound off with your thoughts below!

I remember loving the 2007 TMNT film.

Why?

@incredibleTalk - Possibly because the last film didn't do as well as the companies had hoped. Plus making the four Shreks... I mean four turtles look more like turtles, and less like Shrek wouldn't hurt.

uggh, not again, just use the current one, change the look if you want but god dont do another effing origin, we get it. Turtles, april o neal, casey jones, splinter, shredder, they know each other, now make the story.
If its a reboot it better be effing phenomenal to warrant another reboot.

If they can hire someone like Travis Knight to do this it could end up looking as good as the Bumblebee movie does.

@obarium - Super underrated film. The kid from it will be playing Mowgli in Andy Serkis' Jungle Book adaptation.

@obarium -

I gave this film a chance a couple of years ago, and as soon as I found out the loophole he used to compete, I was hooked. Funny movie.

Way too soon and way too much Turtles. There's a new TV show every two years and now this. It's enough already. Nobody likes TMNT this much.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - I guess I’m a nobody then...my license plate used to read CWBNGA, and it had a Ninja Turtle’s head as the shift knob. I have issue 1 and 2 both signed by Kevin Eastman. But you’re right, nobody likes them that much
