Fan response to Grant Gustin’s suit in the upcoming
Flash show has been mixed – some people love it, some people hate it. The suit is a slight reimagining, changing some classic elements but staying faithful to the source material. In a recent interview, Gustin dished on his thoughts of the suit, confirming it has been tweaked, and dropping some other hints as to what will happen in the show!
“You don’t want to hear an actor complain about being a superhero, but yeah, it’s not the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn. But it’s maybe the coolest thing I’ve ever worn, which kind of makes up for it. And we’ve since made some slight modifications to make it more comfortable,” Grant said of his costume. So, no confirmation that these are visual modifications, but don’t be surprised if the suit continues to evolve – it took over a season for
Arrow’s Oliver Queen to get a mask, after all.
Meanwhile, Rick Cosnett spoke about his character, Eddie Thawne, saying:
“He’s a star detective and he’s new. He just got transferred from Keystone City to Central City. Everyone loves him in the precinct because he swoops in and does a really good job. He’s a very able man. He’s really nice. He is very good at his job. He doesn’t have any weird addictions or anything… And I think much to the dismay of Barry because they are friends, and there may or may not be a girl who gets in the way. There’s a lot of tension.” What’s that – a girl? Could this be a love triangle forming? Well, Grant went on to confirm that
“Barry’s in love with Iris, so that will be another fun dynamic.” Yep - love triangle.

The Flash is gearing up to start shooting in July for a premiere in the Fall, airing Tuesdays on the CW.
After a particle accelerator causes a freak storm, CSI Investigator Barry Allen is struck by lightning and falls into a coma. Months later he awakens with the power of super speed, granting him the ability to move through Central City like an unseen guardian angel.
