Two Contenders Who Could Play 'Barry Allen'/THE FLASH Revealed
According to El Mayimbe of Latino-Review, three actors will be screentesting for the role of 'Dr. Barry Allen'/The Flash for The CW's Arrow today, but we only know two of the three contenders for the role, which one will become the Scarlet Speedster?
Latino-Review are reporting that The CW is looking at Matt Barr and James MacKay for the role of 'Dr. Barry Allen', who will appear on The CW's Arrow in Season 2 Episodes 8, 9 and 20. The first of those three episodes will begin shooting on September 30th, so we should know who will be the Scarlet Speedster sometime this month.
James MacKay is an Austrailian actor whose not very well known, however you can catch him in Roland Jofee's upcoming film, Singularity.
Matt Barr, however, has worked with The CW before on the now-cancelled Hellcats, so it isn't a surprise that he's being looked at. He's also known for Hatfields and McCoys and can also be seen in Tom Welling and Zac Efron's Parkland
Dr. Barry Allen will appear in episode 8 of Arrow as a regular forensics scientist trying to solve the mystery of his mother's murder in a two-part episode. Episode 20 will serve as a back-door pilot for The Flash television series which will be directed by David Nutter. Of these two choices, which actor do you want to see get the role? A third contender will be revealed soon - according to Latino-Review - that is if Mayimbe can find out before The CW picks their guy.
