Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.


Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins. The sequel hits theaters November 8, 2013.

Jane: Holy... Could we do that again?

Thor: The world decreases in chaos.

Heimdall: You stand before an enemy, who is only known by a few.

Thor: Who is known only by one.

Loki: You really must be very desperate, if you aks me for help.

Jane: That was for new york.

Loki: She is great.

Villain: Thor, your bravery won't ease your pain. Your familiy, your whole world will be wiped out.

Thor: I will find a way to save us.

At the end, after the hit, Thor says: Anyone else?

the dark elves got handled by the frost gaints an asked for odin's help , he was straight on them.
the specialize in the dark magic but have a gaint weakness to iron, a real low level villian comparable to thor's other rogue.

Jason Aaron is evolving thor as a character. He's an actual GOD in the literal sense. He comes to earth now, and talks to people, helps them with their struggles, brings rain to planets with rain drought, etc.

He has entered that Superman territory when it comes to being a beacon of hope. Something thor didn't have before. I'm telling you. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't read Jason Aaron's run on thor.

I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YA THE RECENT THOR IS THE BEST MARVEL RUN GOIN RIGHT NOW. even tho he's taking on God bombs now tho , makes it hard to seem him on the avengers an not a cosmic

Think you may need a sense of humour bypass. I was joking about the bifrost. There's a brief shot in this new trailer of Thor in an underground tube station in London with a train flying past behind him. Hence the joke about Thor using the tube to get around.

IT'S AWESOME!!! And yeah, lol he basically saved the universe by his lonesome so I do agree that its harder to not see him as a cosmic character. But I do LOVE the way Aaron is walking that line for thor being both THE cosmic hero, as well as being an avenger.

THOR'S actually one of the most interesting characters in the marvel his history is enriched depending on the writer. the only tough thing about him is having him do his solo thing beat villians that the avengers can't touch an then put him in an avengers issue an have him knocked out by a gas station explosion smh
