Now that we’re finally in the year of the Marvel sequel's Fall release date, the first visuals from Thor: The Dark World are sure to come sooner than later. However, without specified dates of a marketing push, we at least have more teasing from ‘Loki’ actor Tom Hiddleston. The English star recently chatted about The Dark World's “amazing,” never-before-seen direction.

“It's fantastic, truly. We are making an amazing film, and we're having a wonderful time. It's so exciting to have established characters and an established setting in the world, and we are working so hard to cook up something new. That is what is exciting to me - taking what we know, taking what we love and deepening it and giving it an extra dimension. I think director Alan Taylor is really shaping up the world of Asgard and the world of these characters”

Meanwhile, Thor: The Dark World's special effects team were given crew T-Shirts and a background Asgardian Einherjar extra has posted closeup photos of his costume in the movie.

Marvel Studios’ “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Christopher Eccleston, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano and Jaimie Alexander with Rene Russo & Anthony Hopkins as Odin, “Thor: The Dark World” is directed by Alan Taylor, produced by Kevin Feige, from a story by Don Payne (credit not final) and screenplay by Christopher Yost and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely (credit not final) and is based on Marvel’s classic Super Hero Thor, who first appeared in the comic book “Journey into Mystery” #83 in August, 1962. “Thor: The Dark World” is presented by Marvel Studios. The executive producers are Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Stan Lee, Victoria Alonso, Craig Kyle and Nigel Gostelow. The film releases November 8, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

In addition to “Thor: The Dark World”, Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on more iconic Marvel characters including “Iron Man 3” on May 3, 2013; “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4, 2014; “Marvel's The Avengers” sequel (title TBA) on May 1, 2015; and “Ant-Man” on November 6, 2015!

Funny story. I was in a cab on my way to a New Year's Eve party last night, and me and one of my friend's started talking about Avengers. Anyway, his girlfriend started talking about how much of a "gorgeous man" she thinks Hemsworth is. Anyway, I told her TDW was coming out and she got all excited. Gee, I wonder why lol.

"Ant Man, Nov 6th, 2015"?

Aw man, I was hoping they'd release that one BEFORE Avengers 2, not after. Actually, I was hoping they'd release in 2014, as a bonus film, but so it goes.

Come to think of it, this is the first "date" I've seen associated with Ant Man. Did I miss something?

Just hearing Tom Hiddleston talk about the movie like that makes me more excited.

That extra's suit is awesome! I wonder if his face is blurred for his privacy or another reason?

I can't wait for Thor:TDW!!!
