A boy and his car and his girl. Pretty much the same idea, but more thematically about evolution and extinction. Their crash wipes out the dinosaurs in the beginning of the movie. And lots of nukes at the end. Joseph Kahn, Twitter


Joseph Kahn has found a lot of success making music videos, but hasn't been able to translate those skills into featured films so far. In 2004 he directed Torque, which starred in Ice Cube. It was about an underground motorcycle gangs, and it was heavy on the action, and weak on everything else. Since then he has been unsuccessful at securing any other featured film projects until this year, when he made the small indie horror/comedy Detention.
