The first clip from Transformers: The Last Knight was released during the MTV Awards last night and you can check it out right here. As you can see, it focuses on the first meeting between Cade Yeager and Edmund Burton (Anthony Hopkins) along with Hot Rod, Bumblebee, and Cogman. There's even a glimpse of Laura Haddock (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) as Viviane Wembley, an Oxford professor.

Set to be released on June 23rd this year, Transformers: The Last Knight will feature the return of Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager as well as new roles for Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael. With Bay back in the director’s chair, the screenplay for the movie was written by Iron Man's Art Marcum and Matt Holloway along with Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). Plot details are currently being kept under wraps, but it definitely appears as if we can expect these new British characters to play a key role in the movie.

What do you think of this latest look at Transformers: The Last Knight? Sound off down below.

After the last one, I just don't have any interest. Wake me up when they have one set on cybertron with no humans

@chewie - then you'll all complain that theres too much cgi

@warmachinerocks - never had an issue with too much cgi. Just would simply prefer one without humans and on their home planet. I enjoyed avatar a lot and that was all cgi so...ya.

I guess I'm the only one on this site that's truly excited for this movie (my personal most anticipated). I love all of the other films and love the complete chaos that these films bring. the designs of the robots themselves don't get enough credit- of course theyre not going to be blocky like the original cartoon.

@warmachinerocks - @warmachinerocks - I also like these films for what they are. Surely nobody expected any acting awards for these films, but if they did, it would seem to imply a naivety bordering on stupidity. They are good fun. As a fan of the original series, even as a kid I never understood how the Insecticons, Soundwave, et al, could shrink while transforming! Didn't stop me from watching every episode.

@warmachinerocks - I'm definitely looking forward to it, but there are a number of things I wish they would change (not even difficult changes) or have done differently that would have made this franchise one of my favorites instead of what it is.

@NiceBillCipher - Do you mean stories based on real life events? Surely the Transformers are real! Are you saying they are fake news?! Is Chicago fine?!?!

Not that I care about this sh!t but why do most Transformers have stupid idiot voices?

Is it funny?

That sounds nothing close to Hot Rod.
Matador

@Primordiac - Exactly #NOTMYHOTROD

Least they could have done is make him look close like him or hell attempt to use the original actor Judd Nelson.

Is it too much to ask for a live-action Transformers film that feels like "Transformers: Prime"? You know, a movie that has both quality and fun?
I know Hasbro are only trying to make more and more money (which is why they overuse cool cars, cheap explosions,hot chicks and awful jokes to successfully aim at both teenage and adult audiences), but there are tons of sci-fi/action films nowadays that not only make a lot of money, but are also praised for their story, their characters' depth, directing etc.. So please, don't start again with the arguement that "it's not good because it's not supposed to be, Transformers is only made for the audiences to have fun", because it has been proven that there can be an action movie with a decent quality, story-wise.
Michael Bay seems fit to me only for G.I.JOE, the man is literally turned on with anything that has to do with the military. Transformers, for all the fans who have watched the show and played the videogames, does have interesting and fun characters that should be developed in depth, in a story that doesn't involve so much the "man vs alien" and "the destruction of our planet" themes, but focusing more on the Autobots having to live in a new world after the destruction of their own. In other words, being more like the first film.
