THE BOYS Season 3 Red Band Trailer Was Flagged A Record 20M Times For "Inappropriate Content"

Last week, Prime Video gave us a first look at some footage from the third season of The Boys via a very NSFW trailer... which was subsequently flagged over 20 million times on YouTube!

We recently got a first look at some footage from the upcoming third season of Prime Video's The Boys courtesy of a typically bonkers trailer, which packed a lot of carnage into its 1:47 run-time.

The teaser featured the usual amount of blood, guts and sex you'd expect from this small-screen adaptation of the controversial comic series, but it seems the NSFW content was a little too much for some... and by some, we mean a sh*t load of people!

The promo was flagged over 20 million time on YouTube for inappropriate content, which the show's official Twitter account is now proudly displaying as a badge of honor. The stats also reveal that Twitter Admins viewed the video over 603 times - another record.

Season 2 of The Boys ended with the death of Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.

It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted, and showrunner Eric Kripke has hinted that the episode will be every bit as depraved as the comic.

Season 3 of The Boys is set to premiere on June 3.

Besides just some quick shots of sex scenes (that didn't show any nudity worth mentioning) which involved Ashley and The Deep (in this one the creepy thing is that he was a lot more fixated on looking at a fish while he was doing it) the rest of the trailer's content was what a fan of the series is used to seeing, same amount of violence and blood. They didn't even see the infamous "Herogasm" thing as well.

Probably many and very conservative people were behind that.

@NinnesMBC - Nah, these days it's generally not conservative people doing crap like this.

People got a sensitivity syndrome these days. It’s RED BAND.

Part of me thinks some folks resent the show too.

@marvel72 - 5 years

Oh sweet summer child. Let me tell you about the time in 1924 when people tried to ban crossword puzzles because they were "No use for persons to pretend that working one of the puzzles carries any intellectual value with it." And, you know, 399bc when Socrates was on trial for the corruption of the youth.

You'd be harder pressed to find something parents didn't advocate against.

I'm convinced at this point outrage from anything is just trolling evolved. People now know that reporting something gets people triggered so they do it for sport and not for integrity. As time has went on cancel culture has turned into trolls trying to make people upset and unify to target someone or something just to see what will happen.

They should put all that shit on the promotional material.

Flagged 20 million times on YouTube, that'll make people watch.

And 15 million of those flags was Badoptics 'cause The Boys is "trash" and isn't "cerebral" like Watchmen.

@Nightmare - Are you implying nudity is more "dangerous" than graphic violence?
Or was that your point?

Or do you wish it had nudity?🤔
