We recently got a first look at some footage from the upcoming third season of Prime Video's The Boys courtesy of a typically bonkers trailer, which packed a lot of carnage into its 1:47 run-time.
The teaser featured the usual amount of blood, guts and sex you'd expect from this small-screen adaptation of the controversial comic series, but it seems the NSFW content was a little too much for some... and by some, we mean a sh*t load of people!
The promo was flagged over 20 million time on YouTube for inappropriate content, which the show's official Twitter account is now proudly displaying as a badge of honor. The stats also reveal that Twitter Admins viewed the video over 603 times - another record.
Season 2 of The Boys ended with the death of Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.
It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted, and showrunner Eric Kripke has hinted that the episode will be every bit as depraved as the comic.
Season 3 of The Boys is set to premiere on June 3.
