Season 3 of the The Boys is not set to premiere for another few months, but it looks like we can count on the ultra-violent adaptation of Gath Ennis' controversial comic series returning for a fourth run.
While chatting to Variety about the possibility of reprising the role of Dr. McCoy for a fourth Star Trek movie, Karl Urban appeared to let the cat out of the bag when he revealed that he'll be "shooting The Boys through the end of the year."
Prime Video only debuted the first teaser trailer for season 3 (check it out here) over the weekend, and have yet to officially announce that the show has been greenlit to continue. It wouldn't exactly be sunrising news, of course, as The Boys has become one of the streamer's most-watched series.
Season 2 ended with the death of Butcher's wife and the apparent disbanding of the team. We know they will reunite, however, most likely in attempt to bring down the increasingly psychotic Homelander. Queen Maeve was able to blackmail her rage-fuelled leader into backing off in the finale, but actor Anthony Starr has already confirmed that he will really let loose in Season 3.
It's also been confirmed that the highly controversial Herogasm comic book arc will be adapted, and showrunner Eric Kripke has hinted that the episode will be every bit as depraved as the comic.
Season 3 of The Boys is set to premiere on June 3.
