After the chaos that ensued during the second season finale on
The Walking Dead we were left with a bunch of questions. One of those question is who will fill some of the series regular spots that were vacated by the likes of Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn, who met their ultimate demise towards the end of the season. We all know that Michonne (Danai Gurira) and The Governor (David Morrissey) will play a factor in season three, but it looks like now Glen's girlfriend Maggie will play a bigger role as well.
Tv Line is reporting that Lauren Cohan will be bumped up from guest to full fledged series regular. There has been no mention on how big her role will be or how she will be used during the show's third season though.
Season three of
The Walking Dead is set to return some time this fall, and based on the foreshadowing from the second season finale we will be getting story lines that revolve around Michonne as well as the Prison and The Governor. Series Producer Robert Kirkman has said that the third season will consist of 16 episodes and like the second it will be broken up in to two sections with the show airing eight episodes, taking a hiatus, then airing the last eight episodes.
