The Walking Dead

"I have talked many times [about] how much I like the difference between the comics and the show," Kirkman told The Hollywood Reporter. "There are going to be big plot lines that we may not necessarily get to, like the romance between Dale and Andrea.

"If you think you really want to read that storyline, that's available in the comics, and I highly recommend you pick those up. The show is always going to be a different animal and the decision to kill Dale off was a big one and it wasn't one that was made lightly."

To lose this guy at this moment means so much for this group. It's going to be such a monumental death that it's going to affect things a great deal moving forward.

"It seemed like the right time and that to me, all the stories that are going to come out of this that people haven't seen yet, are worth losing the Dale/Andrea relationship."

the writers finally give Dale something to do in an episode and it ends with his intestines laying on the ground all around him and a bullet in his face.

great episode, Carl deserves to get [frick]ed with a walker dick.

Dale was the voice of right and wrong, and it scares me to think people on this site don't like the guy lol. Shows YOUR character. A bunch of real-life Shanes. Sad.

Btw, this episode was sad and annoying in many ways (Carl for obvious reasons), and I really thought they were gonna kill Randall in the barn til Carl showed up lol. I was like, "oh man they're gonna do it!"

I have a huge feeling that Shane is lying about getting hit in the face by Randall after Randall's escape. (He fakes it and hurts himself to make it look like Randall did it). It's smart, makes everyone think that Randall is a bad guy.

And even Randall did do it, Shane totally deserved it lol. He's lucky that's all that happened to him.

This was a great and emotional episode and it was very sad to see Dale go :( he was literally one of my favorite characters. But I definitely can't wait for the next two episodes. Also since they introducing The Governor next season and depending on how much of the material they stay close to, its only gonna get darker. Bring on Michonne.

I think Carl thought that the Zombie was the one who bit Sophia and him shooting her was his way of saying 'I'm sorry' to Carol. His heart was in the right place but he has some growing up to do definitely. It could be BS but that's my theory.

I think Carl "playing" with the zombie was to show the desensitization of Carl.

When I was a kid, we would throw rocks at ant mounds to pester them and see them all come out and go crazy. We knew they could hurt us, but not to bad, so we weren't worried about it. Carl was acting in the same way with the zombie. It shows how normal being around zombies has become for him.

And fcuk you Avalanche. Wasn't once enough?

Though he was the moral compass of the group, I just couldn't liek Dale for the life of me. I didn't dislike or hate him, he just had nothing that resonated with me. The character I completely cannot stand is Andrea. Maybe that's why I didn't like Dale. He saved Andrea.

Anyone else notice in the preview during Comic Book Men that T-Dog goes to unlock the shed where Randall is and says "The Governor called, you're off the hook"? It may not have been that exactly, but he for sure says "The Governor". A bit of foreshadowing?

At least Carl has had some time with a gun.... but...

I am starting to think he will never shoot Shane.

and if they skip to the Governor, bypassing the prison and Tyrese...

I will be disappointed.

@Gusto....Agreed, you're right. I do think though that with all the casting news about The Governor and knowing that he's coming into play in Season 3, that this is the writers' way of throwing a wink/nod to the fans while at the same opening up the door for Randall's people to indeed be the Governor's crew. Also, how do you get the pictures up on the posts?
