I love the walking dead, as do many others, and I will certainly be checking out the first season of this spin-off.

Well, Walking Dead went downhill after episode 6, so I suspect they're making sure to repeat their mistakes for the spinoff.

Should have been named "The Running Dead" then have the west coast zombies run.

Why do zombies have to be portrayed negatively?

Im looking foward to this series (Walking Dead isnt great but i still enjoy it) but im not really a fan of the title.

If they wanted to use the name of the comic book/main show, they could have just called this 'The Walking Dead: The Outbreak or Walking Dead: The Beginning or Walking Dead: LA (i know those arent great but they are just examples). Just call it The Walking Dead and give it a subtitle.

Imagine if a Game of Thrones spinoff was called 'Play the Game of Thrones' or 'Win the Game of Thrones'. It seems a bit lazy

FEAR THE DEAD. Why not that AMC? You couldn't think up any better names? Why not something that acknowledges the setting?

DEAD IN THE WEST...granted that sounds like a zombie Western...which would be awesome!

no matter what they call it. they need to have THE WALKING DEAD IN THE TITLE so people will watch it. but the title does suck dick.

I think this is said for all crappy titles these days but it sounds like the tie-in app game. Or a twitter hashtag. I would've preferred The Walking Dead colon something.

Dawn of The Walking Dead (Not To Be Confused With George A. Romero's Dawn of The Dead or the Zack Snyder Remake)

The stuff in the parentheses would be included in the official title.
