ARROW: More Information On New Villain - "Seth"

A few weeks ago, we saw casting descriptions for four upcoming characters on the third season of Arrow and now some more information has surfaced about one of them, the character of "Seth." It looks like there might be a little more to him than initially met the eye. Come check it out!

A few weeks ago, TV Line provided us with four casting descriptions for new characters that will appear on the third season of Arrow. Now, they're reporting with a bit more information about one of them, the character of "Seth." He was initially described as a well-educated criminal with an affinity for chemistry, who uses a drug that drains the willpower of his enemies, and he would also be a formidable match for the Arrow. Now while the new information is in the same vein, it does add a bit of a twist. Check it out below:

"Remember the “Seth” guy I told you about a couple of weeks ago? Well, the casting for that role has since been tweaked, and he is now described as a “shade of a man” with a quiet intensity, a “criminal mastermind who whistles classical music” as he goes about his devious business. There’s also talk of him having “reptilian eyes.” Whomever he is, he will be the Big Bad for the season opener.

The thing that sticks out from all of this has to be the part about "reptilian eyes," right? This could always be a smokescreen, but could a reptile-based DC villain be making an appearance in Starling City? And if so, who could it be? Copperhead? Kobra? King Snake? Someone I didn't mention? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Arrow features:
Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Arrow
Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak
David Ramsey as John Diggle
Willa Holland as Thea Queen
Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance
Colton Haynes as Roy Harper
Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance
John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn/Dark Archer
Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson/Deathstroke
Caity Lotz as Sara Lance/Canary

Arrow returns October 8.

If he's going to be a big bad for the entire season, I'd say Kobra. He definitely is more of a commanding villain along with Merlyn, Deathstroke, and Brother Blood.

King Snake most likely since he's a Batman villain and Arrow loves using Batman villains lol.

And King Snake has ties to Hong Kong which we know Oliver has traveled to. He's the father of Bane too. But he appeared as a benevolent businessman in Hong Kong but was really a feared martial artist heroin king. Arrow loves baddies with fighting skills and maybe King Snake utilizes his own created drug, besides heroin which he's known for in some comic arcs, to drain power. This sounds like Kobra too. Maybe Arrow is fusing Kong Snake and Kobta together/taking qualities from both to create thier own amalgam character. Who knows...

Copperhead is the only one of those I recognize right away. I'd have to research the other two. I really don't see Copperhead being a really big baddie though. Maybe the King Snake fellow?

Copperhead would be interesting to see done on TV though. The cheese-factor might be tough to get around though.

If they did a legit representation of Copperhead. That would be crazy. I'm not opposed to King Snake either (that's what she said)

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

"Reptilian eyes" is a figure of speech. It means he has a glassy, detached, inhuman gaze. I'm all for speculation, but there's absolutely nothing in this character description to suggest that the guy is some kind of reptile-themed supervillain.

I'm definitely curious to see who this guy IS, though... Hell, maybe the show is finally shifting towards original characters and away from the endless cameos. I'm happy either way, as long as the writing remains high quality!

I think it's King Snake (Sir Edmund Dorrance), a drug lord, makes sense for the direction of the show. End of season two there is a Hong Kong connection.

To the public, Sir Edmund Dorrance was a Hong Kong businessman worth millions, with interests in shipping, banking, and electronics, while in secret he was one of the most feared men in Asia, a giant in the heroin trade.

He is a master of several of the world’s most deadly martial arts. He kills without conscience and has earned the title of "the most dangerous man alive". The King Snake is also blind but has made it an asset rather than a handicap, as he has honed all of his other senses to an uncanny degree.
