BARRY ALLEN COMES TO STARLING CITY — A seemingly impossible robbery at Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division brings Central City police scientist Barry Allen (guest star Grant Gustin) to town. Citing a similar case back home, Barry offers to help Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team with the investigation. Oliver senses there is more to Barry than meets the eye, but he’s distracted by the similarities between this current case and something that happened on the island. Meanwhile, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) takes a liking to Barry, which doesn’t go unnoticed by Oliver. Sin (guest star Bex Taylor-Klaus) asks Roy (Colton Haynes) for help when a friend of hers goes missing. Roy is surprised when Thea (Willa Holland) not only encourages him to help, but joins the search. Unfortunately, Sin’s friend is connected to Brother Blood (guest star Kevin Alejandro), and their search ultimately gets one of them seriously injured. Michael Schultz directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Geoff Johns.

I guess there's a reason why wb casts gustin as barry allen/the flash.he kinda skinny imo.I think,after the incident at particle accellerator,he become a lil bit tough as the flash we know from comic.

Gustin,do your best.your career,your future and dc cinematic universe depends on your portrait as barry allen/the flash.good luck,mate.

God this show is killing it! After last night... man it could just go in so many directions!

Merlyn could kill Thea and Moria, He could kidnap Thea and take her to that mystical place to become evil and train and be awesome or she could just side will Arrow and crew and train that way against her biological daddy!

So many avenues and that's just one section of plot! There's still the island, Black Canary, League of Assassins, Diggle with Waller and the H.I.V.E. and of course the Flash stuff!

Damn this show is brilliant!

Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kresiberg need to be supervising the entire DC tv/cinematic universe because they totally understand how it works and they are killing everything Marvel/DC right now!

Even the Marvel/DC fanwar stops on Wednesdays because of Arrow and that's no easy feet on CBM.

The Flash does not have to be big and bulky like Batman and Superman. In fact it's better if he's not. If Hal Jordan were cast in an episode I'd like like him to look like a guy who flys jets for a living, Barry Allen is a police Scientist, he should look like one...not an MMA fighter.

I heard they cancelled that and are just introducing him in his own Pilot..

And does anyone have any idea when the Flash show will even happen?

Actually no one is sure if he'll still appear in ep. 20. CW top brass just said that it won't be a backdoor pilot.

They have enough confidence from what they've already seen of him that the Flash will have a full-on pilot for itself meaning they get more money to throw at it because it has so much potential and a large fanbase especially now after the success of Arrow.

Did you guys notice Barry lifts that map of Central City and he has a crime board of his mothers murder by his father? Looks like they are following the New 52 Flash to a tee. Also the magazine he covers his head with has a pic of the STAR labs Particle accelerator.

Well a superhero can't be skinny. How can Flash fight Grodd if he has no muscle. Infinite Mass Punch will become Zero Mass Punch.

I'm pretty sure the Flash's speed comes from the Speed Force, not his own muscles lol

Anyway who knows what that inevitable particle accelerator accident will do to him, he's got a lot of time to bulk up a bit before the pilot will even be filmed.

Ummmm... by being superfast to the point he can throw a million punches in 3 seconds, create a wirlwind tornado with his arms, run around the world at supersonic speed to build up enough momentum to run the guy over like a freight train or just run around the bad guy enough to make him run out of bullets and/or get really tired.

Grant Gutsin is a pretty decent actor just watch his scenes on CSI: Miami. I really do hope that he can pull off Flash.

Great plot twist at the end, didn't see that coming. Arrow can go in a number of directions, just keeps getting better. Gustin will bulk up a little before the Flash pilot. It does seem that WB intends to join the film and TV universes. I'm all for it as long as they can keep giving us a good product.
