In a recent interview at the Montreal Comic-con, Stephen Amell told how much he admires Tom Cruise and the work he's done in the movie business, “I have never heard someone that has met or interacted with Tom Cruise that hasn’t just been completely swept up and taken in by the moment, for me, he is not just a good-looking actor, but the quintessential movie star." The man who portrays Green Arrow then adds, "And if you look at his library of work, I would just like to literally watch him perform at his craft.”

Amell then shared his thoughts on if he thinks Tom Cruise would ever appear in the Arrow Television series, he responded, "I don’t think that he’s going to guest star on Arrow. Stranger things have happened." Would you like to have seen Tom in Arrow? And if yes, who would you have liked to see him play? Sound off below with your thoughts.

Arrow is an American television series developed by writer/producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg. It is based on the DC Comics character Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter who was created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp. It premiered in North America on The CW on October 10, 2012, with international broadcasting taking place in late 2012. The series follows billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, portrayed by Stephen Amell, who, after five years of being stranded on a hostile island, returns home to fight crime and corruption as a secret vigilante whose weapon of choice is a bow and arrow. Unlike in the comic books, Oliver does not go by the alias "Green Arrow" in the television series. Arrow also features appearances by other DC Comics characters.

Cruise was actually originally being looked at for Iron Man too.... Thank god for RDJ....

I like Tom Cruise though, he knows how to sell himself and he was [frick]ing hilarious in Tropic Thunder, haha

I'd be down with Cruse as Hal Jordan.

Even better just retcon a bit and make his Top Gun character the new Green Lantern

He's a little old for the part but he's proven he's still a prominent action star. Plus he doesn't exactly look his age.

This is the weirdest "news" I've seen in a while. Would it be news if next week Clark Gregg said it's unlikely that we'll ever see Daniel Day Lewis guest star in AoS?
