THE WOLVERINE's Rila Fukushima Replaces Devon Aoki As 'Katana' In ARROW
Rila Fukushima made a memorable appearance as Yukio in The Wolverine, but she's now heading to The Arrow's neighbourhood as Katana, replacing the previously cast Devon Aoki (Sin City). What's the reason for the change? Well, you can find out after the jump!
Deadline reports that Rila Fukushima has been cast as Tatsu Yamashiro in the third season of Arrow. She replaces 2 Fast 2 Furious' Devon Aoki who has apparently departed The CW series due to scheduling conflicts. It's described as a major recurring role as the character is expected to play a big part in Oliver Queen's flashbacks this year, so it could be that the actress was unable to commit to such a demanding schedule. Regardless, The Wolverine star is now set to play the woman who becomes known as Katana. She's described as, "one of Oliver’s mentors in the flashbacks and a critical influence on his journey to eventually become The Arrow of present day." Of course, most fans are interested more in whether we'll see her suit up as Katana in Starling City...
