CONFIRMED: The 'Red Hood Gang' Are Coming To GOTHAM Next Month

We heard some time ago that there may be plans for the Red Hood in Gotham, but a brief new synopsis reveals that the whole gang will be turning up in a February episode of the Fox series. The question is of course, will The Joker be among them? Hit the jump for details...

The fearsome secret origin of iconic Super-Villain The Scarecrow is revealed on Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, when Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Bullock (Donal Logue) track down a killer who murders in the name of science. On Feb. 16, Gotham City turns into a three-ring circus when a clown attack traps Gordon and Dr. Thompkins (guest star Morena Baccarin) under the Big Top, and Gordon meets John Grayson (guest star Rob Gorrie), the father of the future Robin. Finally, on Feb. 23, Gordon and Bullock track down the Red Hood Gang, as Selina (Camren Bicondova) plays a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with Ivy (guest star Clare Foley).

So, the Red Hood Gang are indeed coming to Gotham City. As those of you familiar with The Joker's comic book origin story will know, he led that group before falling into the vat of chemicals during a fight with Batman which transformed him into The Clown Prince of Crime. Could it be that we'll meet him for the first time in Gotham when this episode airs? We'll have to wait and see, but a full-length synopsis for the episode featuring the gang's debut should find its way online soon enough.

God make it stop. This show has lost me and now instead of focusing on Gordon and his journey in GCPD, the show's just shoving in, Batman related characters just to keep this show going. Maybe I'll be wrong and this potential story arc could be great. The only way this could work is if this actually becomes a story arc that last 3-4 episodes, and not just a quick one off. That's what Gotham needs and deserves (pardon, the pun). Arrow and Flash have done great with good underlying story plots going on with the villain of the week. Which Gotham should have done with the Wayne murders but it's been pushed under the rug with Gordon, talking to Bruce for a minute about how hell find the killer. I haven't watched the show lately but thats what Gotham's been doing. I excuse my rage on Gotham on a web forum, have a good day and you know be a Ginger and all.

Hopefully the person that designs the masks will cut out bigger eye holes so they can see where there going and what they are doing.

@Gingerzrule23 Gotham has been intertwining characters and story arcs together as a perfect gateway for the TV audience to experience and be introduced to the Batman mythos.

The Dollmaker is supposed to be in the same episode as the Red Hood Gang. Also, Big Top in the comics was a member of the Circus of Strange who worked for Professor Pyg.

I enjoy all of the stuff with Gordon and the mobs... But these kinds of nods to Batman's future, not nearly as much. I'm not terribly interested in what the Joker was doing 8-10 years before Batman showed up.

Okay, cool.
The Red Hood Gang was one of the best parts of Zero Year so here's hoping it turns out well.

The show is called "Gotham". Not "Gordon". Not "Batman". Not "Bruce Wayne". Not "The Penguin".....Etc. It's called "GOTHAM" because it's about the fall, the worst fall, and the eventual struggle to bring Gotham City out of the darkness. All these characters are players on that stage. Bruce Wayne/Batman maybe be the endgame to this particular re-telling, but James Gordon is our guide, and thru his eyes we see the journey. I think this show is doing a fine job of telling the tale, and I think all the threads being laid out will be woven together into quite a tapestry before all is done.

So stupid.

The whole premise of this show is criminally backward.

By making Batman a PRODUCT of his environment, and not a potential cause of it (escalation) you remove the threat of shared responsibility that makes the Batman mythos so compelling.

The whole show is a massive dump on the whole premise of Batman. Not just a disappointment, but a [frick]ing slap in the face for true batman fans.

Makes me sick...

The Batman myth is suffused with guilt: that the cure might be worse than the disease.

This entire series upends that paradigm with cheap ratings grabs for a prequel serial.

[frick]ing makes sick.

Jeremy Bobb is playing the evil clown in episode 16, and his imdb picture has him with a strange smile. If I had a guess as to who the Joker is in this universe, it would be him or Fish (yeah, I really don't want a female joker though).

The Red Hood helmet design in the comics is so silly...

It looks like he has the half off a giant sized pill capsule on his head.

Okay at least this actually makes sense to have them as an established gang before Batman shows up.

This show went from decent to my favorite series on television to ridiculous and stupid in the span of about 4 episodes. That is really impressive.

I agree with the other posters who have said that it's quickly becoming a Batman show without Batman. And that's sad.

@Malakas have a little too much caffeine today? lol

Anyway.....onto Gotham, the whole reason we are here in this comment section. Idk, I just could not get into this show. I guess I am one of those people that watch it but can't for long because I know Batman will never show up. They are escalating all these villains but there is no hero to fight them other than the police (a la Gordon) and imo that takes away all these powerful villains...err...power. It makes them weak and something that should not be feared in anyway. These are characters that bring Batman to his knees every month (Batman will always stand back up and whoop that ass of course).

To me, watching this show is like having sex and right before the climax I know the girl is going to push me off, get up, and leave because that orgasm is Batman, and I know Batman will never show up. So why would I bother having sex? Im not one of the people that still enjoy the act of sex (Gotham) enough to be happy even though there is no climax (Batman).

Sorry, I know I could have used a more PG metaphor but I guess I am a pervert, idk lol

Maybe I should become a fan-boy/hater. BLAH BLAH BLAH EVERYTHING DC AND MARVEL SUCK BLAH BLAH BLAH NOLAN AND WHEDON SHOULD GO SUCK EACH OTHER OFF BLAH BLAH BLAH EVERYONE KNOWS ARCHIE IS THE ONLY COMIC WORTH THEIR TIME! ARCHIE WOULD MURK EVERY DC AND MARVEL HERO/VILLAIN OUT THERE BLAH BLAH BLAH

I Have a headache now.

Bye.
