Show's alright, but I would've much preferred a Gotham Central show.

Ballonman was way better than I thought it would be. Except for that Montoya/Barbara scene, this show is really starting to come out of it's shell.

I didn't care too much for last couple episodes, really liked the pilot...hope the tone gets darker, too much goofiness and suspension of disbelieve imo...

I enjoy this show... Enough anyway.
Look forward to it on Mondays. But... It uses humor(as do all cbm's... DC or Marvel)
Just as much as any other show or movie in the comic universe... It was cheesy in tonight's eppy... But I still enjoyed it. But I think it's ridiculous the way people keep saying MCU is the only cbm's that use humor to break from the drama and action... That's what most stories do.
I have a background in English lit... And I know arrow, AOS, Flash, Constantine, and probably I zombie do... You can't take this shiz too seriously.... And it can be serious but not take itself too seriously... Otherwise you have to suspend your disbelief to the max just to get through it....

no offense to some people this is called "Gotham" not called "Bruce Wayne" so bruce wayne is more of a B plot and Gordon and Bullock is the A plot . ok ?

This show has definitely won me over so far. I love the little nuances on certain things that serves as a foreshadowing of what's to come, in both the city and the characters. With "Balloonman" you can see how Gotham is slowly slipping into a city of the crazed, Bruce is picking up the characteristics that will turn him into relentless hunter of criminals, and Gordon's idealistic view is evident in him becoming Gotham's incorruptible Police Commissioner. It falters on a few things, like every CBM or CBTV, but it's gritty and holds your attention, unlike Agents of SHIELD.
It would be nice to see the seasons take place a few years apart in order to catch up to Bruce coming of age. I'd love to see that Bruce's encounters with Gordon . . . and Gotham!

I loved the episode but Barbara is by far the worst part of the show. That bitch is a terrible actress. completely unbelievable. She takes me out of every scene she is in. plus they made her a lesbian...the [frick]. I swear she plays eye candy; her role is to be the attractive person on the show.

The show loses me every episode because it's so obvious it's NYC.. Every block they use and wall they stand in front of I can honestly tell you exact directions to lol.. That's my biggest problem with the show.. I understand it's a fictional city and they have to film somewhere but NYC is just too recognizable for me.. It completely takes me out of the show when I see them at 5Points or in Bamonte's.. They didn't even change the name for Christ sakes.. Every Italian in Brooklyn and Queens knows Bamonte's lol.. Other than that I actually am enjoying the show for what it's trying to do.. I wasn't expecting a batman show so I'm not disappointed in that regard, but at the same time they are trying to force way too much batman mythos into the show too quickly in my opinion.. I'm in for the ride but I hope they make it look more Gotham and less NYC..

Yeah, this show is getting better every week. Selina Kyle really seems to be the first meta-human in Gotham and even though it wasn't Professor Pyg, the Balloonman was interesting.

I really think they should use The Order of Saint Dumas as vigilantes later if they are going to put Batman off for a long while. They would fit perfectly with the tone and visual style of the show. Plus, there is nothing that says Azrael has to come after Batman.

Totally,

When I watched her video interview and she mentioned Michelle Pfeiffer, it permanently got stuck in my head.

Loved the pilot, second episode was meh... third episode was better.
Can't wait to see where the show goes. Its actually perfectly cast - loving lil bruce, penguin, fish mooney, and renee especially. Also the show is clearly set in the late 90s... meaning Bruce Wayne is about 24-28 in 2014.

Personally, I love every episode of Gotham so far.
The people complaining about Barbra being a lesbian, she's in love with Gordon, so technically she's bisexual. I dont see the issue with this, it creates some drama with her so she isn't just standing there being eyecandy for Gordon to complain about how bad the city is.
Oswald so far is one of my favorite characters and I love the direction they are taking the show. You all have to realize the show is going to be based on Bruce Wayne as a kid, so quit complaining about there being no Batman, they are going to do just what they did with Smallville, the show is going to end with Bruce becoming the Bat, and I hope its a good long way away. We can watch all our beloved villains rise to power, and hopefully see a more in depth look at Bruce's training from childhood to adulthood to become Batman.
What I'd really like to see is Montoya become the Question and Allen become the Spectre, but thats just the DC fanboy in me.
I'm personally excited at the casting of David Zayas as Maroni. I watched him in Dexter and he was definitely a favorite.
I'm curious about how in this incarnation how Arkham is going to come into play, if we are going to get some of the lore of old Amadeus Arkham or if its going to be a whole new beast altogether.
The main thing is, just stop complaining and nitpicking at things and enjoy the show. Its not going to be exactly like the comics, that is something we all have to deal with. But to be fair the show is going somewhere the comics rarely do, the childhood of Bruce Wayne.
