New Details On Two More Villains Coming To GOTHAM Next Season

FOX's Gotham series has already delved quite deep into Batman's rogues gallery, introducing both 'Penguin' and 'The Riddler' in its debut season, but it looks like there are a several more on the way. A new report has surfaced describing two new thorns in Jim Gordon's side. Check it out!

Regardless of how you felt about Season 1 of Gotham, the FOX show did manage to bring a startling number of Batman's famous rogues gallery to life in its freshman year (even if there was no Caped Crusader around). Notable successes included Robin Lord Taylor's popular take on The Penguin, and Cameron Monaghan's memorable cameo as a younger Joker.

With the latter apparently set to play an even bigger role in Season 2, TVLine have revealed details about two more thorns in Jim Gordon's side. The site claims that the first new arrival, "a male DC villain", will be "
intelligent, cultured and highly articulate,” as well as “extremely attractive, seductive and threatening". A seductive Mr. Freeze, perhaps?! Joining this mystery rogue will be a female antagonist, "in her mid-to late 20s", who is somewhat of a "sexy knock-out".

Who do you think these characters could be? The folks over at TVLine appear to indicate they have been taken from the comics (as opposed to having just been invented for the show). Are you excited at all about Gotham's sophomore season, or did you stop watching the show a while back? Sound off with your thoughts and theories below!

[frick] this show. Mr. Freeze was never evil or a villain before his accident. Hell even after his accident, all he wanted was what any person would want after what Freeze's been through is revenge.

The only reason Freeze should ever show up is maybe showcase how him and Nora met but besides that.

[frick] this show.

A topic of debate in the Batman mythos is that Batman's presence creates all these villains. If they're already evil before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, then what is the point?

Gotham is just rename itself Easter Egg: The Show because that is what it is. A show where the future is more interesting and exciting than the present.

Since the show has basically become a parody of itself (and a pretty hilarious one, at that), they can do whatever the frick they want and I'll still be entertained. Seriously guys, you're not supposed to take this shit seriously, the finale cemented that and plated it in gold... comedy gold.

It was reveled during the whole court of Owls story line that Freeze has always been a bit nuts and that Nora isn't even his wife she was the very first person to try cryogenics and he fell in love with the idea of her going so far as to create a back story for them that they were married when in fact they have never even met. He even killed his mother as a child throwing her into an iced over lake. Yeah he was crazy way before the accident. Again this isn't a New 52 thing either its been around for a long while now.

I love Gotham. Second favorite CB network show after AoS. The sooner you realize the show isn't called Batman the happier you'll be with it.

I'm going to go and say Clay Face, the actor turned criminal...and they could pull off Baby Doll too

Gotta agree with @JorEllinator, the less I took this show seriously, the more fun I had with it. Actually quite looking forward to Season 2 now :)

@DoktorWeezil - Do you spend your entire life criticising other people's grammar on the internet? It's just that's all you seem to post here... it's kinda sad :/

Well they did confirm a long time ago that Freeze would be in the second season. But as others have said I think it will be more like a Harvey Dent thing than what they did with Penguin.

It seems to me to more likely be Ra's, the description fits him better, and if they introduce the Court of Owls like they said they were thinking, I imagine Ra's would probably fit into that plot line quite nicely.

Also, I still don't get the Gotham hate, it mostly comes down to people complaining that its different from the comics, and that it's a Batman show, but it is by no means a Batman show. Because from what I've come to learn Batman is probably the least interesting thing about Batman stories, his rogue gallery is what's truly interesting so they are playing it up. It's not meant to be a Batman show, its very much its own thing.

Probably not Ra's cause they just used him on Arrow. Might be Freeze and his wife Nora.

Also is like to see a young Killer Croc as a kid who enjoys boxing and is struck with a. Bad skin disease and maybe the news has a pregnant latina woman being sent to a remote prison to reference Bane.

Gotta love when people bandwagon...anyone who has read any of GA's darker runs would know that claim is hilariously wrong

Look, I'm not one of those entitled fans that thinks the source material should be followed strictly, but this is garbage. They [frick] up every character they get their hands on with this show. I hate it.

I liked Gotham, but I understand why big Batman fans wouldn't like it. It was the highest rated CB show for a reason. The general audience doesn't give a shit about Batman's history.

I've seen a few comments mention that people are making a mistake by saying this isn't a Batman show. But you know what? It is. It may not be about Batman, but its about his entire cast of characters and the entire world in which the Batman exists.

So sure, Batman isn't in it, but every possible character involved with Batman is in it. It may not be ABOUT Batman, but its about his world. His city.

And they've destroyed everything they touch. Every character is done a horrible injustice on this show.

This show is sooo awesome. It's Col that Mr. Freeze is coming. Still looking forward to a young Batwoman, or the whole Kane family, specifically the Kane Twins. They'd be about Bruce's age, give or take a year or so.

Also, the Court of Owls & Ras Al Ghoul has to make an appearance at some point. Ras would be the perfect way to tie Gotham to the rest of thaw DCTVU.

@CaptainObvious - It has been stated many times that the corruption of Gotham created Batman, not the other way around.

I'll be impressed if this show lasts another season. Tried watching some episodes online. (key word is "tried) and I had to turn it off. It's really, really bad. Batman universe or not this show doesn't know what it wants to be. And its buried itself into a deeper hole because the mob is practically destroyed. Maroni, who creates Two-face in the future is dead. Falcone is retired or whatever. Hopefully season 2 does a time skip.5-6 years. Have Bruce leave to train in the mountains, he returns mid-season and is Batman by the finale. Either way, good luck to his show, lol

@ Grif:

These idiots don't know what they like. Nerd opinions change like the wind. This show is great, despite what the fanboys say. It had HUGE ratings, & won all sorts of awards.

If the nerd fan base isn't feeling it, so what??? The general public is feeling it, & that's all that matters.
SAMURAI36
SAMURAI36 - 5/26/2015, 3:26 PM
Also, these narrow minded fanboys are clearly too stiff necked to realize that this show was never meant to be an exact carbon copy of the comics. The producers of the show have stated as much SEVERAL TIMES. They are merely borrowing from the comics, not adapting them verbatim.
