Jesus, if they ever need a low budget way of filming Moses parting the Red Sea on-location, Jada-Pinkett Smith's cleavage looks like it'd do.

James Gordon-absolutely incompetent cop. Allows Penguin to be an active criminal in Gotham 20+ years and become one of Batman's rogues. SMH.

@Dotanuki And Batman in the comic allows the Joker to live after he has killed so many people including one of his adoptive sons and even raped Barbra.

@Dmon

It's not quite the same. Of course Batman will allow him to live. Batman's not an executioner.

The whole premise of this show is flawed in the sense that because the series takes place 15-20 years (or thereabouts) before Batman, all of the crime and problems in Gotham fall squarely on the shoulders of the Gotham PD and Gordon. Unless they start introducing criminals that Gordon puts away rather than just Batman's rogues, it doesn't paint Gordon's abilities in a good light. Why would he work with Bullock (who is crooked) for more than 15 years and not do a thing?

@Dotanuki The story has not unfolded all the way yet. Deep down inside Bullock is a good cop and being partnered with Gordon might bring that out over time. Also as far as Gordon knows Penguin has not done anything wrong yet except beat a guy that refused to press charges. Plus Blackgate and Arkham which is not currently open have always been a revolving door. Also just because Gordon may arrest people it does not mean the get a convection.

I actually have high hopes for the show. The acting may not be that great yet but you have to remember that this is a TV show and it takes a little while for the actors to really get a feel for their characters look at Smallville for example, in the beginning Tom Welling was mediocre to put it modestly but after a few seasons he owned that character. In time I'm sure this show will be amazing, more so than it already is.

I wish they'd show who's running Wayne Enterprises after the Waynes died :/

Maybe visit the new 52, with Bruce's uncle who's secretly a member of the Red Hood gang...

Penguin is my favorite thing about this show. The kid in the role is nailing it.
