Catch A Glimpse Of The Joker In The DC Universe's Animated HARLEY QUINN Series

Kaley Cuoco has shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her recording booth session for the DC Universe's adult, animated Harley Quinn comedy which reveals the first look at Gotham's Clown Prince of Crime.

In the previous footage from the DC Universe's animated Harley Quinn series, the character has sported a look more reminiscent of what Margot Robbie wore in David Ayer's Suicide Squad film, so the fact that Harley's in her Jester outfit in the image below is a huge clue that we're looking at a flashback.

If the adult comedy follows comic book lore, the Joker will likely be depicted as a mental and physical abuser. Just how dark and "adult" the animated series will get remains to be seen, but if you look closely at Cuoco's script, it appears the show will be dropping F-bombs.

Alan Tudyk has previously been confirmed to voice the Joker, with Diedrich Bader portraying Bruce Wayne / Batman.

The animated Harley Quinn series is set to premiere in late-October.

Harley Quinn follows Harley’s adventures after she breaks up with the Joker and strikes out on her own in this new adult animated comedy. With the help of Poison Ivy and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, Harley tries to earn a seat at the biggest table in villainy: the Legion of the Doom.

I like Diedrich Bader but the idea of Oswald as Bruce Wayne just doesn't compute in my brain.

There’s something jarring about cartoons and curse words.

@Vocloz - Yeah, although I was hoping it would look like the art they used when the series was announced

It's so funny to me how Warner Brothers is trying so hard to distance their DC properties from children. Because two lunatics dressed as clowns who fight a man dressed like a bat is very "adult". This is why I appreciate what Marvel Studios has done. They found away to make childhood heroes work for kids, teens, and adults. WB should understand that at the end of the day superheroes are looked up to by children too.

Lobo should be rated R because that was how he was written.

@SonOfAGif - Harley Quinn is written pretty adult. I like that they have the ability to have Harley bang the shit out of Lobo like how she was "written" to do in the comics. This is also a paid service. I think youngsters can get a g-rated version on cartoon network.

@SonOfAGif - They have stuff for everyone
Teen Titans Go, DC Superhero Girls, Batman Unlimited movies for kids
Young Justice and most DC Animated movies : older kids and adults
A few of the DC Animated movies and Harley quinn animated series for adults.
Although their older stuff really could apeel to everyone

Not a fan of this Joker's look.

Harley looks like the one from BTAS, Joker should look similar too, or just better than this.

Maybe I'll get used to it, idk.

Tudyk's Mr. Nobody on Doom Patrol reminds me a lot of Joker, so that works for me. Isn't this Harley series supposed to be for mature audiences?

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Now that would be great, its basically what Teen Titans Go should have been, a good balance of action and comedy, with an occasional light hearted jab at the fanbase
