Given that it was her bloody break up with The Joker that kicked off the freshmen season of Harley Quinn, it’s only fitting that next week’s finale end with a final showdown between the titular villain and the Clown Prince of Crime. And with the Joker seemingly killing Poison Ivy in the final moments of Friday’s episode, things will be even more personal for Quinn.

Fortunately, as highlighted in the official promo for the final installment of season 1, Harley will once again have her crew to lean on, as she hatches a battle plan that includes Clayface adopting the appearance of Batman himself.

Of course, even though the rest of the Justice League may be indisposed, thanks to the efforts of the Queen of Fables, the newly released footage shows the real Dark Knight is still around to make an explosive entrance.

I've been dreading the finale because I don't want it to end. This show is a hundred times better than her movie.

@rabid - With any luck and given the mostly-positive reception, a second season should be a given.

@rabid - While I do agree it’s better (and I liked the movie) it’s not really fair to compare a 12 hour animated show to an under 2 hour film.

I think the film was a pretty good and accurate depiction of Harley but she didn’t need a movie in the first place, her animated show is right where she belongs.

@CBMFilmJunkie - Your Point is completely valid, but the pedantic in me has to say that the episodes are only 23 minutes long, so the total show length is about 5 hours.

I just saw the Birds of Prey movie. It’s good. It’s really fun, my favorites were Margot Robbie and the Huntress, and Ewan might be my new favorite actor for the way he plays Black Mask.

They should've had the writers of this cartoon write the movie.

Who'd'a thunk this show would be the best DC animation we've had in years.

Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons is great too.

I like where DC/WB is heading with this stuff.

YJ season 4 is gonna be LIT as well.

What a time to be alive

@solskulldeath - That’s what that new Batman: The Animated Series comic is for.

@solskulldeath - This cartoon pretends it's set in that universe. The characters are mostly the same.

@solskulldeath - I enjoyed the DCAU during its run, my favorite was Batman Beyond. Though honestly I don't hold the same sentiments as you.

Why?

1) We don't want the DCAU to devolve into the same mess that the Simpsons have after running for so long. I know the DCAU was/is great, but just like with any longrunning project, that would lose steam eventually; like The Simpsons.

2) I actually like that we're getting some different versions of DC stuff for movies and shows. We get some winners like Young Justice and Death/Reign of Superman... Even some clunkers like Teen Titans Go and Batman The Killing Joke. I rather them experiment than burn themselves out by playing it safe.

Don't get me wrong... I loved the DCAU, and will hold it near and dear to my heart with what it was able to do for me. It's just we'd miss out on future golden opportunities by making it be the only thing. With that logic we'd still be running with a Television-verse based off of Smallville instead of the great Flarrowverse we have now.

Plus you gotta remember, there was stuff before the DCAU was a thing. With your logic... Should the DCAU have not been a thing in favor of the old classic DC cartoons and shows getting a second chance of a longer run so that their fans can be happy?

@Beerus - well, I have a slightly felt different with your opinion and don't get me wrong, I respect your idea.

but there is a lot of things could be expanded in DCAU, and I guess there is a lot of things Bruce Timm's batman needs to explore and improvise. I, myself are still not getting enough from the batman animated series that I would like to have more and delve more stories from the comic and mix it with their own story.
