The first full trailer for the fourth season of Max's adult animated Harley Quinn series was released last night during San Diego Comic-Con (via Toonado.com), and it finds Harls (Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) attempting to maintain their relationship while operating on opposite sides of the hero/villain divide.
Of course, there's also plenty of graphic violence, drug use, sexual innuendo, and (censored) nudity... and we'd expect nothing less!
Per the official synopsis, the new season sees Harley Quinn (Kaley Cuoco) "out on her own after her break-up with The Joker (Alan Tudyk). With help from Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) and a ragtag crew of DC castoffs, Harley attempts to work her way into the Legion of Doom, before an identity crisis sends her on a larger quest to find her true place in Gotham City. The trailer is filled with explosions, many familiar DC faces, and pokes fun at Elon Musk's Space X."
According to showrunner Sarah Peters, this season is "about two formidable women trying to bring themselves to long-standing institutions with mixed results, and ultimately, failure."

The voice cast also includes Christopher Meloni as Commissioner Gordon, Ron Funches as King Shark, JB Smoove as Frank the Plant, and Tony Hale as Doctor Psycho and Felix Faust, with Diedrich Bader returning as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Sarah Peters is back on board as showrunner and executive producer.
Harley Quinn returns for its fourth season on July 27.
