LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: Nate Screws Up The Timeline In New Promo For Season 7, Episode 2: "The Need for Speed"

After a short hiatus, DC's Legends of Tomorrow returns, and it sounds like they didn't waste any time getting back into their old hijinks - only this time, it was Nate who messed up the timeline!

Following a short break, DC's Legends of Tomorrow is back with its seventh season, which is already shaping up to be quite a doozy of a year as the team currently finds itself stranded in 1925, where they seem to be getting into all kinds of timeline-altering shenanigans.

While it remains to be seen what happens next, the hour ended with Nate (Nick Zano) having seemingly killed J. Edgar Hoover (which can't be good), and the promo sees him appropriately panicking about all the damage he could've done to the timeline. Unfortunately, he won't have much time to think, because he and Gary (Adam Tsekham) get kidnapped by Al Capone!

Meanwhile, in case you missed it, the upcoming 100th episode of the show, which will air on October 27, will feature the return of seven very special guest stars. Get all the details HERE!

"The Need for Speed" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, DLV) (HDTV)

A TICKET TO RIDE - While the Legends contemplate how to get to New York City, Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) discovers Hoover has train tickets to DC and Sara (Caity Lotz) and Ava (Jes Macallan) come up with a plan. With the help of Gary (Adam Tsekham), Nate (Nick Zano) will have to impersonate Hoover, but he soon learns it is harder being Hoover than he expected. Since Zari (Tala Ashe) is stuck without the internet, she is forced to take a digital detox and becomes obsessed with figuring out who blew up the Waverider. Meanwhile, Astra (Olivia Swann) and Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) have stayed behind in Texas and are dealing with the aftermath of Astra's special spell. Amy Pemberton also stars. Alexandra LaRoche directed the episode written by Morgan Faust & Marcelena Campos Mayhorn (#702). Original airdate 10/20/2021.

Gideon:

I liked the actual bank robbery bit, especially with Ava's and Sara's over-the-top moll talk. Hope it goes on a while longer. Also I'm pretty sure Hoover is an alien/demon/mob-of-the-season. Maybe an Ava-esque clone. Either I missed it or I have no idea how else he would have shown up on top of that car after jumping out of the way.

It's always been shifting tones and crazy plots and tongue-in-cheek, but I think this one really jumped when Gary turned out to be an alien. Lack of any regard at all for continuity is when a series really dies.
