While we still don't know which cast members from the first season of Supergirl will return when the series relocates to both Canada and The CW later this year, an impressive casting addition has been made today in the form of original Wonder Woman actress Lynda Carter. Who is she playing? Well, the legendary actress looks set to appear in multiple episodes as the President of the United States.

The network is clearly hoping that Supergirl will start off strong on The CW as Carter will first appear in episode three. Superman meanwhile will be making his presence felt in the first two, so they're giving viewers a good incentive to tune in now the show has made the leap to a brand new home.

What's interesting about this is that if Supergirl is going to somehow be brought into the same world as Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, Carter will be the President of those worlds too. What brings the Girl of Steel in contact with the Commander in Chief? We'll just have to wait and see...
