CBS has announced today that they've ordered an additional seven instalments of Supergirl, taking its total of season one episodes up to twenty. While that may be a couple of episodes short of the traditional full-season order, the network is still referring to this as a "full-season" pickup, so don't panic about the show's future just yet! There are various reasons this could have hapenned, including the fact that Supergirl actually premiered quite a bit later than most new TV shows this Fall. Ratings have been good, though they plummeted last week with a season low of 7.2 million (the show debuted with 13 million), but those are still good numbers, and CBS are very happy as the series has still improved this timeslot for them by 46% compared to last year. Does this full-season order mean we're getting that Supergirl/The Flash crossover? We'll have to wait and see...
