Next week, on Supergirl, Kara comes face-to-face with Psi, a psychic thief that has the ability to immobilize anyone that stands in her way by tapping into their worst fears, which can't be good news for Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist). Plus, Samantha (Odette Annable) will start her new job at L-Corp and it looks like she might start to discover a little something about her latent abilities.

Check out the new trailer for episode two, titled "Triggers," below:

"Triggers" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, DV) (HDTV)

YAEL GROBGLAS ("JANE THE VIRGIN") GUEST STARS - Psi (guest star Yael Grobglas), a thief with psychic powers, attacks National City. Able to immobilize people by tapping into their worst fears, Psi proves a formidable opponent for Supergirl. Meanwhile, James (Mehcad Brooks) and Lena (Katie McGrath) are at an impasse, and Samantha starts her new job at L-Corp. David McWhirter directed the episode written by Gabriel Llanas & Anna Musky-Goldwyn (#302). Original airdate 10/16/2017.

As Superman’s cousin, Kara Danvers (aka Supergirl) balances her work as a reporter for CatCo Worldwide Media with her work for the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government organization whose mission is to keep National City – and the Earth – safe from sinister threats. At the DEO, Kara works for J’onn J’onzz, the Martian Manhunter, and alongside her sister, Alex, and best friend, Winn Schott. Also in Kara’s life are James Olsen, a photo journalist who moonlights as Guardian, a masked vigilante, Lena Luthor, and Mon-El of Daxam, whose planet was ravaged by Krypton’s destruction. In season three, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign.

The episode was great except for the incredibly forced liberal talking points. What was the point of the global warming discussion? Or even worse, the random comment that Cat's the best since Robert Gibbs. That earth doesn't even exist in our universe, so Gibbs and Obama shouldn't have even existed. Besides, Gibbs was a horrible press secretary, always hiding behind misdirections in a really monotone voice...so the exact opposite of Cat.

@GAThrawnIGF - The liberal talking points felt more like trolling than liberal talking points. Even for me they were very on the nose.

You know, aside from that SJW bullshit they keep shoving down our throat (goddamn you CW...goddamn you...) this episode wasn't that bad.
There are a couple of things i really look forward, like Erika as Kara's Mother <3
Adrian "Talbot" Pasdar as Morgan Edge???? Hot damn! That dude has a shit load of charisma!

But please, forget about Mon-El, i can't stand that guy....

Holy crap! There are still morons out there that still don't believe in global warming! Probably think the earth is flat as well.

Too bad the writers of Supergirl have destroyed the show by pandering to SJW policies and other political garbage to advance their personal agenda. Everyone remember how good season one was on CBS when it was free of politics?

Loved the dig at climate change deniers, the buffoons that they are. Great episode. Want happy Kara back though.
