SUPERGIRL: Lex Luthor Unleashes The Red Daughter In New Photos From Season 4, Episode 16: "The House of L"

It's been a season-long buildup, but it looks like Lex Luthor is now preparing to unleash the Red Daughter, which means we're inching closer and closer to seeing her throw down with the Girl of Steel!

After a season of build-up, it looks it'll be Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) who finally unleashes the Red Daughter (Melissa Benoist) on the world, which is definitely not good news for Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) as she finds herself up against arguably her most dangerous threat to date.

This will be the second chapter in Cryer's three-episode Lex arc, which means the final installment, set to air on March 31st, will possibly see the return of Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) - if a recent promo is to be believed - as he makes his way back to National City to lend Kara a hand in stopping Lex once again.

"The House of L" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, V) (HDTV)

LEX LUTHOR CONTINUES TO WREAK HAVOC - In the wake of Lex Luthor's (guest star Jon Cryer) return, the show flashes back to what he's been doing for the last two years and how his secret machinations and plans have affected Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and Lena (Katie McGrath). Carl Seaton directed the episode written by Dana Horgan & Eric Carrasco (#416). Original airdate 3/24/2019.

Season three saw Supergirl stop Reign and the other Worldkillers’ threat to humanity and our planet, and in the process, Kara was shocked to find her mother Alura alive and living in a salvaged Argo City that survived the destruction of Krypton. Reconnecting with her past caused Kara to realize that her true home is now here on Earth, where big changes are taking place for her and all of her friends in National City – and also, it appears, for a doppelganger in Russia! Season four promises to be full of surprises, action, adventure and lots of big revelations for Supergirl, Alex, James, J’onn, Lena and Brainy.

Supergirl features:
Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl
Mehcad Brooks as James 'Jimmy' Olsen/Guardian
Chyler Leigh as Alexandra 'Alex' Danvers
Jeremy Jordan as Winslow 'Winn' Schott
David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz/Martian Manhunter
Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor
Jesse Rath as Querl Dox/Brainiac 5
Sam Witwer as Ben Lockwood/Agent Liberty
Nicole Maines as Nia Nal/Dreamer
April Parker Jones as Colonel Haley
David Ajala as Manchester Black
Rhona Mitra as Mercy Graves
Robert Baker as Otis Graves
Erica Durance as Alura Zor-El
Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor

OT: but the rumor has it that Guardians 3 will begin production in earl 2021, after Gunn has finished shooting Suicide Squad, which pretty much confirms what I've been saying about what Sean Gunn hinted at- a 2022 release date.

This sounds like it'll be Lex's "origin" just like it was Lockwood's in the 3rd episode. I am expecting maybe some flashbacks throughout S2 and S3.

Also remember reading that there is a very cool fighting sequence in the opening between him and Kara, maybe his watch will summon his Lexosuit and they'll exchange blows for a couple of minutes.

Can't wait for the flashbacks! Cryer is amazing in the role.

I stopped watching this show after the Crisis X-over and Superman AGAIN reminded us how much shittier he was than Supergirl. But Cryer's Lex looks damn good!

@nikgrid - unfortunately the superman on this show is the worst and constantly gets upgraded. Not by just Supergirl who beat his ass in an episode but even else worlds he was inferior compared to everyone else. Not impressive at all.
