The wait is nearly over as Supergirl finally returns next week with its long-awaited midseason premiere, which will be the first of ten straight weeks of brand new episodes as we head toward a sure-to-be epic confrontation between the Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) and Reign (Odette Annable) in the action-packed season finale.

After officially announcing a fourth season renewal last week, The CW has now released a pretty sweet new poster for the midseason premiere, featuring Kara flying front-and-center. Plus, they've also released four more new promotional stills from the hour, which you can view if you scroll all the way to the bottom of this page.

Check out the new poster below:

"Schott Through the Heart" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-PG, LV) (HDTV)

OSCAR-NOMINATED ACTRESS LAURIE METCALF GUEST STARS - When Winn's (Jeremy Jordan) father dies, his estranged mother, Mary (guest star Laurie Metcalf), reappears trying to reconnect and to explain why she abandoned him all those years ago. Winn is too embittered from his rough childhood to forgive her but when a copycat Toyman attacks, the two must work together to stop him. Mon-El (Chris Wood) tells Kara (Melissa Benoist) something important about the Worldkillers, and Alex (Chyler Leigh) becomes suspicious of Myr'nn's (guest star Carl Lumbly) recent behavior. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Caitlin Parrish & Derek Simon (#314). Original airdate 4/16/2018.

Isn't time for a little costume change? The suit she is using in the Injustice 2 comic is dope

@NatchiosElektra - Well considering how things went on Arrow and Flash, we could probably get a new costume next season.
Oliver and Barry didnt get new costumes until season 4

Saw it earlier and love how it is so meta mixed with some of her charming cockyness.

It’s really been a while, can’t wait for next week.

Hope the rest of the season is much better. We've had some good episodes, and we've had some really bad episodes. Maybe these next few episodes will make the season solid rather than mediocre.

I’m impressed for once to see an actual conversation on this website. I also need to play catch-up on the series. I just lost interest in some of the changes and some bad acting. I’m still hopeful to get back to it though.
