SUPERGIRL's Season 2 Premiere Gets An Awesome Title; David Harewood Will Return As Martian Manhunter

The season 2 premiere of Supergirl (which will happen on The CW instead of CBS) has a very cool title sure to be familiar to Superman fans, while at least one more cast member has been confirmed to return.

One of the downsides of Supergirl's move to The CW is budget cuts, and as a result, we still don't know which supporting characters will be returning this Fall. One who many fans suspected might be on the chopping block is David Harewood's Martian Manhunter, especially as the CGI used to bring him to life is without a doubt a little on the pricey side. Thankfully, we know now he's definitely coming back.

That was confirmed today when he shared the first page of the script for the season two premiere, an episode which will be titled "The Adventures of Supergirl." That's the same name as the Girl of Steel's digital comic book series and also bears a resemblance to both The Adventures of Superman radio and television shows from the 40s/50s and Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from the 90s.

Alas, a title such as this offers no clue about the story or who/what was in that capsule which crashed to Earth, but expect details on that to be revealed when Supergirl comes to Comic-Con next month.

Good. Even though they have de powered him a bit, I like Martian Manhunter on this show.

I trust the Supergirl showrunners with Martian Manhunter more than Snyder & the DCEU. Snyder would make J'onn the rapist instead of Ma'alefa'ak. Hopefully we can get J'onn, Supergirl, Superman, & Flash to meet up some day.

@LEVITIKUZ - It's amazing how embracing the source material makes lower budget TV shows more entertaining than several million dollar movies. Hell, if they form a TV Justice League, I might not even worry about seeing the DC movies.

This show had a Nazi feminist agenda on CBS. Let's hope they ease up with the move to CW.
