THE LAST FIVE YEARS' Jeremy Jordan Joins The Cast Of SUPERGIRL As 'Toyman'

Well, as Winslow “Winn” Schott initially, but DC fans will know that's the civilian name of the villainous Toyman. It seems the character will start out as a friend and colleague of Melissa Benoist's Kara.

According to The Wrap, actor Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, The Last Five Years, Rock Of Ages) has booked a rare non-musical role in the CBS Supergirl pilot as Winslow “Winn” Schott, aka the man who will become very fond of toys at some point in the future. Apparently he's set to guest star in the pilot, with the potential to recur if the series is picked up. This version of the DC character is described as "a tech genius and superstar IT whiz who works alongside Kara at Cat Grant’s company, CatCo." In the comics Toyman is usually depicted as a somewhat sympathetic villian, who has some lethal history with Cat Grant's family. Will the show follow the same path?

Supergirl will also star Melissa Benoist as Kara, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Chyler Leigh as Kara’s foster sister Alex, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, with helen Slater and Dean Cain in mystery roles.
