THE LAST FIVE YEARS' Jeremy Jordan Joins The Cast Of SUPERGIRL As 'Toyman'

Well, as Winslow “Winn” Schott initially, but DC fans will know that's the civilian name of the villainous Toyman. It seems the character will start out as a friend and colleague of Melissa Benoist's Kara.

According to The Wrap, actor Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, The Last Five Years, Rock Of Ages) has booked a rare non-musical role in the CBS Supergirl pilot as Winslow “Winn” Schott, aka the man who will become very fond of toys at some point in the future. Apparently he's set to guest star in the pilot, with the potential to recur if the series is picked up. This version of the DC character is described as "a tech genius and superstar IT whiz who works alongside Kara at Cat Grant’s company, CatCo." In the comics Toyman is usually depicted as a somewhat sympathetic villian, who has some lethal history with Cat Grant's family. Will the show follow the same path?

Supergirl will also star Melissa Benoist as Kara, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Chyler Leigh as Kara’s foster sister Alex, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, with helen Slater and Dean Cain in mystery roles.

Traditionally, Toyman's costume also consists of a muscle shirt tank top with a baseball cap worn slightly to the side.

does this mean Supergirl won't be connected to the Arrow universe? Arrow had their own toyman..... fingers crossed both universes (and flash) are all connected

I don't know where all of you get the idea that Toyman was on Arrow. There has NEVER been someone with that name or personality on anything other than Smallville, anD Arrow certainly never had anyone named Winslow Schott.

Arrow is a bad show, if that hurts you then that is an issue you need to have that checked. Poorly written, poorly acted, just bad. I understand that SHIELD isn't for everyone but it and The Flash are miles better than Arrow.

Last week Merlyn beat Ollie and Thea by himself, they needed Merlyn to help them get better.
Nyssa beat Merlyn by herself and with ease.
Ollie beats and capture Nyssa by himself and with ease.

Does this make sense to anyone? and the show is so full of these things. Explain how Ollie falls off of that cliff and every bone on his body isn't broken? I guess the wife was all thing kings horses and all the kings men. All she treated was the stab wound.

The Flash is bright and fun, light and engaging, worth the watch every week. SHIELD built a whole world with new characters and good acting, people who we've grown to care about and still managed to stay connected to the MCU
