The first official trailer for Superman & Lois has finally arrived and while it's light on actual footage, there are a few glimpses of what to expect as the Man of Steel (Tyler Hoechlin) narrates a hopeful message about becoming a stronger version of himself in order to protect the ones he loves, which, of course, includes his wife Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch).

The trailer also provides our first looks at his two sons, Jonathan (Jordan Elsaas) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin), and possibly teases a trip to the Phantom Zone, which may explain why the Last Son of Krypton is so concerned about his family's safety.

With a little under two months to go until the February 23rd series premiere, a more substantial trailer should be with us within the next few weeks, likely previewing some of the epic action to come, but until then, enjoy the sneak peek below.

In SUPERMAN & LOIS, after years of facing megalomaniacal supervillains, monsters wreaking havoc on Metropolis, and alien invaders intent on wiping out the human race, the world's most famous superhero, The Man of Steel aka Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin, "Teen Wolf") and comic books' most famous journalist, Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch, "Grimm"), come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever - dealing with all the stress, pressures and complexities that come with being working parents in today's society. Complicating the already daunting job of raising two boys, Clark and Lois must also concern themselves with whether or not their sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass, "Little Fires Everywhere") and Jordan (Alexander Garfin, "The Peanuts Movie") could inherit their father's Kryptonian superpowers as they grow older. Returning to Smallville to handle some Kent family business, Clark and Lois are reacquainted with Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui, "Entourage"), a local loan officer who also happens to be Clark's first love, and her Fire Chief husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez, "Graceland"). The adults aren't the only ones rediscovering old friendships in Smallville as the Kent sons are reacquainted with Lana and Kyle's rebellious daughter, Sarah (Inde Navarrette, "Wander Darkly"). Of course, there's never a dull moment in the life of a superhero, especially with Lois' father, General Samuel Lane (Dylan Walsh, "Nip/Tuck") looking for Superman to vanquish a villain or save the day at a moment's notice. Meanwhile, Superman and Lois' return to idyllic Smallville is set to be upended when a mysterious stranger (Wolé Parks, "All American") enters their lives.

Superman & Lois features:
Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman
Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane
Jordan Elsass as Jonathan Kent
Alexander Garfin as Jordan Kent
Dylan Walsh as Samuel Lane
Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang
Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing
Wolé Parks as The Stranger
Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing
Adam Rayner as Morgan Edge

Superman & Lois premieres on February 23

Can't wait havent had a real Superman since 2006 (even if the movie was just okay). Liked Smallville, but he wasn't actually Superman until the end of the show and the less said about the finale the better

@dracula - Smallville's Clark may have never worn the costume but he was a realer Superman than anything we've had in a long time...

Hmm... not a fan of the "CG Portrait" art style for the trailer.

Wished they showed us actual footage of the show instead.

@Jordanstine -

Eh, it will just look like all the other CW TV shows. Low budget CG effects with corny dialogues.

I'm excited. Reminded me of this:

But Smallville's gave me much more chills.

@KingPatel - I just started a rewatch. On season 2. Those early years were so good. That cliffhanger season 1 finale...goosebumps

@BlackBeltJones - Nice, yeah it was sooo good. I'll put on random episodes every now and then, but it's usually the Clark/Lois stuff from the later seasons.

Was waiting on them to release the first five seasons on Blu-ray, but doesn't look like that's ever happening, so ended up buying the whole series again on iTunes last year on sale. Just need to find time to actually watch.

@KingPatel - Yeah, I've been watching random episodes from Season 2 but it made me regret not just starting the whole thing from the beginning.

@Doomsday8888 - CoIE is probably the closest we'll ever get to a reunion sadly.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Wow... I remember that promo. It still gives me chills, especially when Clark says, “I can be their hero!” with such heart and conviction.

I know I gave up on the CW, but you know what... I'll give this a shot. How bad could it be?

@KWilly - I imagine it will end up like all the other CW shows by season 2.
Endlessly chasing McGuffins, underwhelming villain battles, and every main character will suit up as a hero whether it was in the comics or not.

Cool teaser, it had an artsy student film/fan film feel to it which I liked.
