SUPERMAN & LOIS: The Man of Steel Is Back In Action In The High-Flying Official Trailer For Season 3

The CW has finally released the official trailer for Superman & Lois season three, offering a one-minute preview of what's to come for the Kents this Spring!

Along with getting our first look at the recast Jonathan Kent (Michael Bishop), we see all kinds of trouble in both Smallville and Metropolis, as well as big teases for some of our characters, including a big separation and possible baby news. What we don't get, however, is a first look at Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz), but it's probably fair to assume he's likely responsible for some of the aformentioned destruction.

The season three cast features Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent/Superman), Elizabeth Tulloch (Lois Lane), Michael Bishop (Jonathan Kent), Alex Garfin (Jordan Kent), Erik Valdez (Kyle Cushing), Inde Navarrette (Sarah Cushing), Wolé Parks (John Henry Irons), Tayler Buck (Natalie Lane Irons), Sofia Hasmik (Chrissy Beppo), Dylan Walsh (Sam Lane), and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang Cushing).

Guest stars will include, but are not limited to, David Ramsey (John Diggle), Adam Rayner (Tal-Rho), Michael Cudlitz (Lex Luthor), and Chad L. Coleman (Bruno Mannheim).

Superman & Lois season three premieres on March 14!

Check out the new trailer below:

Clark and Lois are now working at the Smallville Gazette together and enjoying small town life. But the Kents’ romantic bliss only shines a light on how isolating the secret can be, as Chrissy struggles to balance a new love interest and her friendship with Lois. However, Lois’ own work-life balance is put to the test when an undercover assignment reveals a deadly foe that promises to change the Kent family forever. Superman would move heaven and earth for his family, but with a villain this merciless, even that might not be enough.

Meanwhile, the Kent boys find themselves being pulled in opposite directions as Jordan discovers what a superhero-identity really means and Jonathan searches for purpose beyond the football field. Amid all this upheaval, John Henry is haunted by his doppelgänger’s past, leading to dangerous consequences for him and Natalie. Lana Lang and Kyle redefine their family post-separation, while Sarah explores what the future holds for her and Jordan now that she knows the truth about his powers. Having learned the hard way that no one else can be trusted to work with Superman, General Samuel Lane reclaims his post at the Department of Defense, only to face his own conflict in working with his grandson, Jordan.

This is wayyy better than all of those other garbage CW soapy DC shows.

Chub alert on Lois.

@DocSpock - Funny because Season 2 dropped the ball to feel exactly like that while the rest last year delivered much better stories and embraced their own source material. XD

@NinnesMBC -

The worst of Superman & Lois is like Citizen Kane compared to the best of the other CW shows.

@DocSpock - Citizen Kane doesn't waste characters after cleverly introducing them in the most underwhelming ways nor leaves unaddressed storylines from S1's cliffhangers up in the air when they were obviously meant to be the crux of the next Seasons.

S&L gets a lot of pass just because it looks cinematic and has a good handle of of it's VFX which consists in a lot of greens creen. Beyond that it's not so different than the faults found in it's peers.

@NinnesMBC - I 100% agree with you I couldn't even finish last season. Really enjoyed 1st season for the most part. It's like a typical CW teen angst soap opera guest starring Superman every once in awhile. It's not really a show about Superman it's about the trouble and problems of the Kent kids, Lois and their neighbors. Their characters have stories while Clark just kinda hangs around.

At the end of season two, Diggle mentions John Henry Irons from this Earth. I think this Irons created a version of Steel's armor and Lex will cause the destruction of the Daily Planet with it.

Best live action Superman project, can't wait for the next season. First two seasons were top tier.

It's nice that they are going to pick from Season 2's ending to introduce to the general audience Michael Bishop as the new Jonathan.

There has to be a misdirection in Jordan's reaction to walking away the moment Sarah shows up at the barn because they are supposed to have made up by the end of S2. Writers can't be that tone deaf and repeat more drama between them, they should just enjoy their time together.

Will be nice to see how Clark teaches Jordan how to fly better, reminds me a little bit to S1 of Supergirl when Kara was flying next with J'onn.

But they gotta do something with Jonathan now in terms of making him be more involved, it can't be another Season of him staying in the sidelines.

I feel bad for Kyle there, wished Lana gave him another chance. People complain about the Cushing family but whether you like it or not, their issues are more relatable to happen to any of us.

Sam is trying to recruit Natalie? Must be with John Henry's blessing because if not, prepare for trouble.

I really hope Lois is pregnant and they add another family member by the end, it better not be a red herring.

They should just show Bruno Mannheim at this point, there's no reason to keep him under wraps.

Hopefull they pick the show up after the 2nd half of S2 began to stumble.
