SUPERMAN & LOIS: There's Something Wrong In The New Promo For Season 1, Episode 6; "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

Following yet another stellar installment, Superman & Lois now heads into an early Spring hiatus and won't return until mid-May. Luckily, The CW has provided a sneak peek for what to expect.

Due to a prior COVID-related production shutdown, tonight's installment of Superman & Lois will be the last new installment of the series until May 18 as the show heads into an early midseason hiatus. Luckily, there will be fresh Kryptonian adventures to keep you busy as Supergirl will be back on March 30 with its long-awaited sixth and final season premiere.

While The CW doesn't necessarily always provide promos for midseason premieres, they've made an exception this time and have provided an early look at what's to come in episode six as Jordan (Alex Garfin) runs into some complications with his powers and tries to hide them from his father (Tyler Hoechlin), which only leads to more trouble when General Lane (Dylan Walsh) and his forces come after him.

There's really not much else to go on, but the promo also seemingly teases a team-up between Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) and Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui), which should make for an interesting dynamic as the pair presumably take on the sinister dealings of one Morgan Edge (Adam Rayner).

Check out the promo for episode six, titled "Smells Like Teen Spirit," below:

"Smells Like Teen Spirit" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (Content Rating TBD) (HDTV)

TBD. (#106). Original airdate 5/18/2021.

Solid episode glad that Jon was able to vent he certainly deserved . Figured Luthor and Lois were married on his Earth considering his relationship to Sam. Jordan continues to grow as a character but glad that him and Sarah are just gonna be friends. Edge is really dealing with some serious shit. Chrissy is finding her inner reporter and I love how she has Lois's back. So much good stuff suck that we're on a break but the rest of the episodes seem like they're gonna be explosive especially with Tag coming back, whatever shit Edge is dealing with, Sam's declining faith in Superman and Captain Luthor. Love this show.

I’m officially caught up! Damn this show is good! It’s been a while since the Arrowverse hooked me again. Best show since the early seasons of Arrow and The Flash

Seems like they toned down the padding on the suit a lot after the pilot

Can't believe CW has a DC show I look forward to watching. Love this show. Hope it doesn't go in the direction of other DC shows.

@Himura - 10 weeks......huh, well at least we will get Supergirl back for a while. Hopefully they can catch up on their filming and when it does return they just air them one after the other without break

It's still just ok to me. 10x better than what they gave Cavill for material though. I know it's the core of the show, but the teenage/family drama really drags it down for me a bit. Still, it's a good Wed night time killer.

@inkniron - yes, but could they not be made much better?

@Wolverine43X - There's nothing on Earth that couldn't be made better. That's just the nature of everything.

A show like this and other CW shows, you take in to consideration budget, target audience, etc. and it's geared more toward a family friendly audience. HBOmax stuff is too hardcore and violent to a fault usually, but that's geared more towards the adult viewers that actually hold the purse strings. I get both trains of thought, the problem is, it mostly falls short.

There should be a happy median, more faithful to the source material and it should exist on film, but sadly, they gave the keys to that universe to an idiot.

S&L doesn't turn me off as much as the other CW shows, but most of them held my attention for a minute too.

I read all the disclaimers...lmao...not. In fact, who has not thought of the Hulk fighting Wolverine in a snow covered cemetry in Canada? Who thought Superman would die in his 2nd apperance in the DCEU? Not me! Who thought Marvel would abuse the Imcredible Hulk the way they did? NOT ME! BUT....they actually told a story....MCU. Problems with the story? Yes. But, an actual story they told. Zach Snyder lost me by killing the hope that the DCEU had....Marth...I mean, Superman! Wow! F WOW! HOW? WHAT THE F? How could you kill the guy that 2 jewish guys inspired as bullet-proof in 2 movies???? I will tell you. A fake as F Doomsdick impalling a Superman.  How could this go wromg you ask? Well, it is a story of dumb AFs dealing with cool AFs that they have no idea about.  But, they did. They killed a bullet proof man by death of Ogar LDOR style.. Maybe this rambling will pay off when someome out there believes in adapting source material in a way fans deserve??? Adapt, improvise, and overcome...maybe more intelligent people than I should hesr that and comprehend that. People want to see the characters they read about come to life in a way they remember reading...

Another really good episode! Man this show keeps delivering. Loving everything about it, no nit picks still! Strong writing, strong acting, love the maturity and the realness to this show. Did not see that twist about Lois coming. Also, I do really enjoy the unexpected humor in this show.
