Caitlin Has A Frosty Reunion With Her Mother In New Stills From THE FLASH Season 3 Episode 5: "Monster"

Barry's faced off with some monstrous meta-humans in the past, but next week, he's going up against an actual monster, and unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a Megazord in his arsenal. Elsewhere, the hit CW series will finally introduce Caitlin's frosty mother Dr. Tannhauser, played by Susan Walters (The Vampire Diaries), but when the reunion with her daughter goes sideways, it may have disastrous consequences for Caitlin and actually accelerate her transformation into Killer Frost. CAITLIN CALLS ON HER MOTHER FOR HELP WITH HER GROWING META POWERS - Desperate to understand what is happening to her, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) visits her mother, Dr. Tannhauser (guest star Susan Walters), a renowned biomedical researcher, in the hopes that her mother can provide some answers about Caitlin's growing meta-human powers. However, when Dr. Tannhauser treats her daughter like a test subject, Caitlin grows cold and brings up past wounds causing the two to have a major blowout. Meanwhile, after a mysterious new meta-human attacks Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) tries to convince Julian (Tom Felton) to let him assist on the case. Blinded by anger, Barry unwittingly plays into Zoom's game and uncovers the evil speedster's true goal: to destroy all the earths in the multiverse. In the face of his life, Barry ultimately gets the upper hand against Zoom and defeats his nemesis. But unable to celebrate victory, Barry makes a world-shaking decision and speeds back in time to the night his mother died to stop Reverse Flash from killing her, irrevocably changing his past and redetermining his future.
